Not much. Depends on the species.

Hahahaha... fish are VERY intelligent creatures, regardless of the rep they get. The risk in overfeeding a fish doesn't really come from them eating food until they die. They stop eating when they're full. The death will usually come from the contamination the excess, rotting food will cause. It will rise ammonia levels in the tank and make them ill. It's a very uncomfortable, painful way for them to go, as well. And if they survive, it leaves them with long term respiration problems due to gill damage from the ammonia.
Please don't overfeed the fishes as a test :( Only give them the recommended dosage. If you don't want them, send 'em my way ;) I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands!

Most fish, at least all of mine, will spit out food once they are full. You should clean your tank to get rid of the extra food if you want your fish to live, because otherwise you're inviting fungus and other disease.

Also, maybe keep your brother away from your fish if you don't want them to die. Or teach him the glories of moderation.

Why do you want your fish to die? just put the whole food can in the aquarium and see what happens!
