What are you offering? Many bettas won't eat flake food, or sinking pellets. Make sure your pellets are small enough, and that they float. For a younger betta, you may need to split the pellet in two with your fingernail so he can eat it.

Also offer meaty foods like brine shrimp and bloodworms - many bettas can't resist those.

Betta don't have very big stomachs, so don't worry if he only eats one or two bites.

How long have you had him? If you just got him, he may still be settling in. Sometimes they do not eat for a few days after you get them. Anyway, keep offering food once or twice a day. Remove what he does not eat.

One last element to look at is the health of betta. Sick bettas may not eat. Does your betta have any symptoms? Like bloating, scales sticking out, frayed fins, white spots, fuzzy stuff, etc.
Make sure that you keep the water in his tank very clean, and warm, and he should come round soon.

I have a Beta fish and he eats three or four of the beta pellets plus he likes dried blood worms. Try an appetite enhancing food and giving him a variety maybe he wants some fiber like the dried blood worms that is why I tried the blood worms because my fish became constipated and I had to find a way to help him poop. Good luck and also on a side note I only feed my fish every two or three days. My friend had one she forgot about for two months and it was still alive when she remembered his tank behind her sons dresser on the window sill!!! they are very sturdy fish.

betta fish usually only eat 1-3 pellets once a day. Also if you are feeding flake some bettas won't eat it. I would get a betta pellet or some freeze dried blood worms. Good luck.

The bettas I've had over the years have liked the type of food that looks like dirt, or very fine gravel. The trick is putting it in the bowl so that it floats on the surface and doesn't sink to the bottom.

If you feed your fish every day, DONT! Beta's dont like food in their systems on a daily basis try feeding him once a week. And if that doesnt work for you he is probally on death rowe.

i was in the same situation twice. unfortunately, they both died. i didn't give up though. i would try and feed them when they were right up near the surface. i think it has to do with their system. i wish you luck with your fish.

if he dies, bury him. that is what i did! :)
