In days gone by the women went with a kettle to purchase
fish,it held a cert en amount but was not a kettle
for boiling water for tea.
It was of a kind of kind of large pan with a handle,
like what witches had a Calderon shape and black
that could be hung over the open fire, oval shaped.
Hope you under stand explanation ?
