My dog is an older Border Terrier mix.She doesnt know shes old though lol.
About a month ago,she started losing a small amount of hair from the inner parts of her front and back legs. There are small red scabs also..I looked it up and decided to try some anti fungal shampoo.
Along with that i used Calm Coat and Sulfodene.I also bathed her with flea and tick shampoo in case she had fleas.None of this has helped. It has spread to her body now.
Does anyone know of any medicines that have worked well for you?If it doesn't get better soon I'm going to take her to the vet but first i want to see if theres anything else out there.
Thanks sooo much!!

hi my golden retriever is going to give birth to a litter of puppies in 25-30 days, and i was wondering what kind of bedding i should use in the welping box after she gives birth to them, I was reading about using hay or wood shavings, but hay can cause fleas and ticks, and everything Ive read has said not to use woodchips or shavings with newborn puppies, so I'm going to use sheets and blankets, or does anyone have another idea?

appeared to be a good breeder, and i wasn't educated.

now I am and have beautiful dogs that I got from great breeders and rescued one.

The dog i got died from lyphoma at only19 months.

The breeder moved and changed her phone number

and sold other puppies from the same litter, and they died

also very young from the same thing.

I am so upset. I took my two dogs to get spayed and neutered yesterday and now I am not too sure I did the right thing. I thought it was the responsible thing to do (being that one is a boy and the other a girl) but when I mentioned it to someone today (after seeing the cones around their heads) I am starting to think I did something terrible. The person told me that I had ruined my dogs lives and that there were other ways of keeping them from having puppies. The person told me if I were to like it of someone took me to the doctors to get me fixed! I am so sad now. Did I do the right thing?

They're awfully cute, but I have a kitty and a corgi and want to know if they'd all get along or if the bull terrier would not be a very family friendly kind of doggy.

Just wondering if anyone has ever had experience with the 7 in 1 shots that are sold at feed stores and some pet stores.
they are like $4 for everything but the rabies. I have heard of people doing this, are there any down sides?

We have tried everything in the book to help get rid of our animals' fleas. We are about to start our dogs on frontline but I was wondering if there are any over-the-counter meds that REALLY work. I'm not going to waste my $ just to have my dog miserable all over again.

Why do you give Thumbs up or down? Also, I'm just curious, why do you report or do you report people? If not, why?

Can or will anyone HONESTLY answer these questions?

I'm not angry, more curious. I'll post follow up info because as we know, you aren't "allowed" to answer your own questions or YA will remove the question.

I just don't understand the logic- for instance in my Daily Dog Question. Why the thumbs down?

Help? Insight?

On Saturday ,I went to my local animal shelter to adopt a dog. I met all the dogs , & I find one I wanted to adopt. I took him outside &played with him and walked him. This is the dog , I had my heart set on . I filled out an application , talked to the volunteers at the shelter &said goodbye to the pup I thought I would be adopted. They called me back yesterday and told me I had been approved . I was so happy, Buddy was suppose to come home with me today. But Today I went to the shelter , I was filling out the paper work &I asked them how much was the adoption fee so I could write a check out. I was expecting to pay $50-250 , &they told me $700! I was amazed, first I didnt speak and then they saw my face .They asked whats the matter and I told them I was shocked at the high fee. They told me he would be adopted quickly since he is 7 months old purebred yorkie ,& if I wanted him I would have to decide by tomorrow morning. Now I dont know what to do . I mean whos going to pay $700 for

I take away his water bowl at 9pm. Took him for a walk at 11pm. He went to his bed at midnight and at 2am he whines to be let out. I let him out and realize that he's peed in his bed. I scolded him, then I change beddings and place him back in crate and tweny minutes later, i hear him peeing in crate again. What is wrong with this dog? He peed on the wall inside the house twice as well (he hasn't be neutered so how do I stop him from marking the wall?). He's six and half months old and we live in an apartment so we have pads for him in the bathroom, which he uses well when we're not home with him. Thanks. He's a boston terrier.

Previous lepto vaccines appeared to cause vaccine reactions. Fort Dodges 4 way vaccine has cleaned up the vaccine decreasing the chances of a reaction.
The smaller the dog the increase in a reaction with any vaccine. But there is treatment for it.
Lepto is a bacterial zoonotic disease that dogs can survive if they have been vaccinated.
Survival rate decreases without the vaccine.
I have seen 1 too many animals die from this horrendous disease. Its a shame because there is protection available.

I live in Bangkok and my 4yr.old male cocker required emergency surgey to remove stones from his bladder. After the surgery the vet informed us he will have to eat Hill's c/d food for the rest of his life. Hill's is difficult to find here and the cost is outrageous. Any help or suggestions locating a recipe will be appreciated.
