I am afraid that if I give the mom a flea pill or topical treatment such as Frontline that it will get into the mom's milk and hurt the babies. I haven't treated the mom since I found out she was pregnant. I haven't seen any fleas on her, but the babies are 2 days old and I saw a flea on one of them today.

what would you say is a good price for a male yorkshire terrier? like if i went to a pet store nearest me and htey gave you a cage, food, a dish, a food dish, a leash, a collar, shampoo, treats, weewee pads, and i think a bed. and the dog of course with all the shots. what would be a good price?
what would be too much?

He killed a few dogs, big deal. It's not like he killed a person. What's the difference between that and hunting? It's just because dog's are "Man's Best friend" If he had a Beta Fish fighting league, would people be so mad? Are dogs better than other animals?

Animal control is making me put my dog to sleep because she broke her arm and it didn't heal back perfectly. How ever she is still a very active and happy dog. She uses her leg still and doesn't limp or anything. She has no health issues and is only 3 years old. She shouldn't have to die. What do I do?

My father and i seem to constantly debate about this issue. When our neighbors go by our driveway to take out the trash, or when another dog walks by, my dog goes crazy. i think this is innapropriate, though my father thinks that it is the dogs job.

I adopted a 6 week old pup from my vet. the pup and his littermates were abandoned monoday (wednesday now). the puppy goes pee alot and poo. i have only one effective method i know of. the rub and pop their but. im afraid since Buddy has been through a hard life he will be less trusting and if i pop him hell shy. he is 3 pounds so he can't take much. he is almost crate trained except at night. he has accidents. he knows he supposed to go outside. i have potty ppads. i don't want to box train him and he won't use his pads. any suggestions. i don't know how big he'll get. hes white fuzzy with black raindrop shaped markings around his eyes. he also has a brother Panda. he has the same problems but my brother just has him in his crate all day. unfair but they want to save their carpet. Thanks.

i think i should get a cavilier king charles spaniel, because they are dogs that can sit on your lap, and walk very elegantly. they are the perfect size.

BUT

they have a mind of their own, and have tendancy to bolt across streets. call me crazy, but i dont want to find my dog on the road in a puddle of blood.

you can see the size im going or, can you give me some tips about this breed or some other breed that has the same good qualities?

Where can I find a harness for my dog made of chain/metal? My dog chews through all the "no-chew thru" harnesses on the market.

We live in a rural area, outside of city limits, so the dog is not required to be on a leash/chain. That being said, she was running across the road when she was hit.

OK,here is a video of Maggie, who was called "grossly obese" in response to another one of my questions about what breed she might have in her.I just took this video about 15 minutes ago,and it shows Maggie and my GSD,Lulu, running around and sniffing the ground where some creature had been. You can see her body type better, and the way she moves. Do you still think she's grossly obese, and also, any more opinions on what mix she might be? I think she gets along pretty well for an almost 11 - year - old dog of her size. Thanks!!

I don't have a dog yet (have two young children, so maybe, when they grow older I will buy one) but I want to extend all my appreciation to you because today, I saw a blind man guided by his dog. I observed, the dog knew every movement that he made, was or not a right movement for his owner. I was truly touched by this. Thanks to all the dogs, who faithfully stand "by mankind" with dissabilities of any kind!!!!!!!

I had to put my dog down (about 80 pounds) and I buried him in my back yard. He is in a thick plastic bag given to me by the Veterinarian and the "top" of the bag is about a foot under the surface. The ground is really soft there now and I keep pressing it down and adding more dirt. Should I consider re-burying him deeper? Or is this a common "side effect" of burying a passed pet? Any suggestions will help. Thanks

my dog killed a squirrel - the squirrel did not bite or hurt the dog, but the dog may have injested some of the squirrel's blood or who knows what - is this harmful to the dog? The dog is a back yard dog, had all her initial vaccinations as a pup and at a yr and 1/2 but nothing since and she is now 5 :/
