Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Not another Vick lover!!!!! There's a difference.People usually ( but not always ) hunt for food, and try to kill the animal with one shot,so there is minimal suffering.Of course there are bad hunters who are thoughtless and could care less if they make an animal suffer, and in fact, enjoy seeing them suffer.Or,they hunt only for the trophies. There are also trappers, who are nasty, evil people,in my opinion, who cause the horrible suffering of millions of little animals just so some stupid person can wear a fur coat.Thoughtless trophy hunters and trappers,IMO,fall into the same category as Michael Vick and company ~ they are sadists who enjoy watching animals suffer, and that makes them very bad indeed.

Actually it isn't like hunting at all. If you think about it, when you hunt, the animal is killed instantly and if you're good, with just a single blow. With dog fighting, they endure constant abuse and die a slow and painful death. They are chained to one post in mud all day, little food to eat and absolutely no attention. In fact, when chained, they are chained close to another dog, far enough not to attack each other, but close enough to tantalize and irritate each other. The chains they are carrying 24 hours of the day is extremely heavy. Many dog fighters will also steal other dogs to throw in the middle of the ring for their dog to practice on. Sometimes they will take these stolen dogs, tie their mouths down so they cannot fight back and hurt their fighting dogs. Man's best friend or not, no animal should have to go through this much abuse. Can you truly still believe it is just like hunting?

Well let me see. Put it this way how would you like to be put in a ring and made to fight and if you lost you were killed. These poor dogs are put together in a ring and made to tear one another apart and the one that loses or isn't as good a fighter is put to death . Now you tell me if anything is wrong with that picture, any normal person would find a problem with it but not Micheal Vick so what does that tell you about him.He has no empathy or sympathy for other living things.Hes a loser and needs to pay for what he has done it is against the law to fight dogs period.

If your no dog owner than you might as well keep you mouth zipped. If you owned a dog you would probobly be devistated about this.
It's a bett'a instinct to fight. They have no problem with fighting. They are eager to do it. dog fighters however force pitt bulls to fight. no Pit bull wants to fight. dog fights just try to aggrevate them. The idiots smash the two dogs into each other, put a out a steak rib, anything to make conflict between the 2 dogs. It is only because of a pitt bull's natural urge to please that they even tolerate all this.
Plus michael vick killed those dogs because the dogs simply did not want to fight. The dogs were sniffing each other and being friendly,Vick decided it was no fun and trashed them.

hmm well lets consider the fact that he is supposed to be a role model for kids. if kids see a person fighting dogs and breaking the law they will think its ok to do that. if a person cant be responsible with a dog how could they be responsible with a baby or another person. the difference between dog fighting and hunting is the fact that by hunting u r actually helping control the population of wild animals. when u fight dogs ur trying to get some cash. dogs look to u for support. they look to u for food, water, and love. dogs put their trust in u. any person that says that it is ok to fight dogs seriously needs to watch this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EM9gHRJval0
tell me u dont feel bad for these dogs. if u can say that then u seriously need a psychiatrist

Those dogs had no power and could not resist whatsoever. They were forced. I realize that some people might not consider dogs or any other animals as their equals, but animals, although not equal to some, should get some respect. Why do you think we have superior minds and they do not? Yes, we were born like that, and with superior minds we must take care of other living creatures and things around us. It is cruel to use animals for amusement, forcing them to fight their own kind just to stay alive. I hope you will think harder about this.

I get so sick of mindless no clue having people comparing dog fighting to hunting i could just scream, hunting is done for food, hunting is done by clean kill and very seldom does a hunted animal suffer. dog fighting is done to intentionally inflict pain and suffering on the animal, the more it suffers the better the people like it, ...there isnt enough room on this board to even go into detail on this...but it wouldnt matter anyway you have to have someone willing and able to read and comprehend before wasting time explaining......if you cant see the difference and think vick is such a great guy maybe you ought to be doing time right beside him, because your mid is definitely fouled.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, poor l'il Mikey; the big bad "Man" is a-picking on the minority dude, right? Baloney, the Vick displayed a sick sadistic attitude that I simply prefer my grandchildren not be exposed to. Vick was in a profession in which participants are supposed to be role models. You want your kids to be exposed to that, one would hope you suffer an accident or disease that prevents you from ever having children.
Don't try to compare his torturing dogs to hunting. Those two activities are a world - no, a universe - apart.

Are you stupid??? Or just not very well educated. Hmmm sounds to me like both. First of all they (pit bulls) (maybe scum like Vick are too.) are bred to kill wild bore not another dog. Ahh. Forget me trying to explain you probably can't read. Ha Ha Vick the Dick had to pay the NFL a few million back cause the looser couldn't complete his contract. I just HATE him and wish someone would knock his eye teeth out drown him and hang him ( the original way for him) and shock him to death then sell all of his crap and donate it to ASAP and all of his money too. They should also take his parents through the ringer too. They showed up to show suport to the sicko.

I would venture to say it's about a little more than dog-fighting versus deer-shooting. I thinnk it's about our refusal as a society to aknowledge the real, hard-core cultural differences that exist between races/classes. No, not for everyone but enough discrepancies flourish to alert us that racism and concurrent classism deeply, irrevocably affect our collective experience.
Should anybody harm any animal? Hell, no. But should we crucify this man, in comparison with how other famous names are treated?
Let's just make sure we're asking ourselves why we feel what we feel about this issue.
