I had a mother dog get electrocuted one time and I had to tube feed the puppies for 24 hours by placing a small tube down their throats and using a small syringe to get the milk into their stomachs. You have to be real careful though so you don't' puncture their throats or go too far with the tube. You can mostly use a small bottle with nipple which can be purchased at most Super Centers, Walmart,K-Mart, Target, etc. They should be fed every three to four hours. It won't take them long (appx two to three weeks) and you can start them on wet wet canned food mixed with the same milk you get from the vet. I put a tarp in the bathtub and let them hang out in there to keep the house from getting all nasty. It helps if you have a bathtub no one uses much.

Notifying the pet sitters association is a good idea, you can also try notifying the better business bureau if its a group that you can hire from. Don't feel guilty because you had to hire a dog walker, atleast you were responsible enough to know that you needed one for that day. Do you have a trusted friend/neighbor that could do the pet walking for you? I'd always chose a friend or neighbor I trusted (or even a relative in the area) over hiring a stranger for my animals. Atleast he didn't come and collect his money and not do his job...that would be grounds to hunt him down. Sorry your puppy had a bad experience, I'm sure he'll be ok.

If the pups are newborns or under 4 wks. old,you will need a small pet bottle, just like a human baby bottle but smaller, you can purchase it at any feed store or vet office.I use the goats milk that can be purchased in a can at a grocery store and boil water and mix half and half with milk.A pup just born will only take about 1 cc on a 3 cc syringe, but as it gets a few days older increase this amount. You can judge when it is full by the the size of its stomach. You will need to feed the pups about every two hours and also remember to stimulate their gentials with a dampened warm cloth every time you feed them.

You need to get puppy formula from the vet or pet store. Esibilac is what is usually available around here. They sell small bottles just to be used for the puppies. These pups will neeed to be fed every 2 hours day and night. If you work you will have to take them to work if at all posssible or find someone who can help you with the feedings. You also have to rub them to stimulate them to pee and poo. Use a heating pad to keep them warm. Good luck with these babies!

Well first of all i want to tell u that you are a person with a really big heart for animals and are such a sweet person for doing this. First you could go to petsmart and explain your situation and they should be able to find anything you would need. But if you can't get there right now if you have any baby formula that would be good for them also make sure you don't seperate hem from one another. Keep them very warm and feed them every 2 hours at least.
Once again i praise you for our caring personality.

GOOD LUCK

you can go to any pet store or I think wal-mart or some farm stores has the milk just for puppies, and the bottles , and it depends on how old they are how much and how many times a day they should be feed directions you could call and ask a vet they help me out with a phone call, if they are to small you might have to wipe there butts so they can do there thing , or they might blot.
