first off, to those who think shes talking about a "pit bull"/ american pit bull terrier(correct name) is wrong. there is a breed called a bull terrier. thats why you should open a second window and search for evidence to back up your answers instead of rambling on about something you know nothing about.
second, the person who said "pit bulls" were dangerous doesnt know much about dog breeds. tons of breeds were made for "aggressiveness". ex: bulldogs we're replaced by "pit bulls" in the sport bull baiting. the pit part of the pit bulls name came from another "sport" where they would put rats in a pit and would put the dogs int he pit to see how many rats it could kill in a certain amount of time. therefore the name pit bull came about. as for the terrier part which means "hunting dogs" was because of the fact they were good at hunting small game. learn your facts!
pit bulls arent dangerous and neither are bull terriers. there is a site you can go to for statistics about dog bites. one part that i found odd was this" Mixed breeds and not pure bred dogs are the type of dog most often involved in inflicting bites to people. The pure-bred dogs most often involved are German shepherds and Chow chows."
heres a good wed site to go to for helpful information. do your homework(reading up) on the breed. and if you still think its a good idea try going to a bull terrier rescue center for a day and see how they are in person. another thing is you may find one at the rescue that you like and you can most likely bring your other dog.

There are multiple factors that influence a dog's behavior. First, temperament is genetic. If you are planning on getting a puppy make sure you really do your homework and find a very reputable breeder. Search for the Bull Terrier club of America website. They will have a breeder referral. The way a dog is raised will also determine how it matures. A good owner will produce a stable dog. Socialization is important with all dogs. Bully breeds need more training and socialization than many other breeds. Do your homework and contemplate going to rescue. You can always try fostering adult dogs until you find one that works with all members of your family. You are on the right track asking questions before you get the dog!! :) Good luck!

Bull terreir are non-agressive dogs. They will generally not attack but will fight back if attacked. They are gentle very strong animals weighing about 60lbs full grown. The females are generally smaller than the male dogs.
The are part of the bully family meaning they are related to the pit bull.
The are family/companion dogs. Generally they do not like the outside that much and love to be with their owners full-time and need extensive attention. They hate to be alone and can get themselves into trouble if ignored.
These animals should be crate trained and kept in one when alone in the house. Sometimes even being crated at night too. They adapt very well to crate training.
The target dog is actually a female and not a female as many people think.
A great dog and my favorite breed. Be carefull of their head as they enjoy throwing their head back when playing and it's all bone. They could break your nose or worse just playing.
The puppies generally do not like to be held but become more loving as they get older. Finally becoming one of the ultimate family dogs. The miniature Bull Terrier are absolutely incredible and cost an arm or leg.
BTCA.com is a bull terrier rescue service and you can adopt a rescued bull. Be prepared to feel like your adopting a child with stuff they do. Check your home and learn all about you like a security check or something.

ALL animals can be dangerous if provoked. Even your kitty can turn demon. BUT that said, the only way to know is to try when you are home so if dog gets a bit over zealoused you can intervene.

Any dog can be dangerous, it's not the breed that makes them so. Any dog that is brought up to be a good pet and is well socialized will do fine.

Just like any breed it matters how they are raised. if a dog is abused and not raised around other animals chances are they will be dominate aggressive. I have a Basenji which is a very dominate aggressive dog by nature towards other dogs but since he was raised around other dogs he is fine.,

If you raise it to be family friendly, it will be. Proper training and socialization is needed for any breed.

No It depends on how they are brought up and your training techniques. They need a lot of discipline, exercise, and attention.
I have one his name is Taz. I luv him to death, he is a good dog.
He gets along perfectly with my chihuahua and my cat.
