Yes it is normal it is a dominance thing my spayed female dog humps my cat when she doesn't think people are watching...she knows shes not supposed to because I tell her no when I seeing her doing it...it is just kinda gross lol.

Just because a male dog is fixed doesn't mean he doesn't have the instinct. It is different for a female dog. Male dogs especially if they were sexually active before theywere fixed...we had a male dog that did the same thing. They can't get a dog pregnant but they still have the urge and the urge produces the red rocket.

Yes it is normal .. being fixed or not when they get excited there "red rockets" still come out. Its totally normal
and as for the trying to breed your other dog he is just simply humping her to prove dominance ... nothing will ever happen he will not ever be able to insert himself nor get her pregnant. Hes just trying to prove that he is the top dog. Thats all.

Yeah My dog is fixed and she humps her little toy twice as much, I think it's just raw animal nature :)

It happens with mine all the time. You didn't say how old he was when he was fixed. Mine were already adults when I got them (they are rescues) so maybe that makes a difference.
