Dogs - August 2007

I have been taking him to a local park every day and he sits nicely in the back seat until I slow down to park and he realizes where we are. Then he starts barking incessantly, to the point where it scares children nearby. He is an otherwise calm, well mannered dog, how do I get him to stop barking as I park my car?

Does anyone here have a bloodhound or black and tan coonhound. Ive always wanted to own one of these breeds. If you have either dog what is its name, age, and gender. What are their personalities. Ive been around bloodhounds but not black and tan coonhounds. If any of you have pics of your hound please post it!

the front dew claws? A friend of mine has a boxer and the vet removed it front dew claws. I have four dogs and all of them have their front and all have their back removed execpt one.

so now i'm worried. i noticed it this morning @ around 6am. she's already potty trained, but she's peed in the house & in her crate twice today. she doesn't seem to be in pain, no crying or anything, but she has been somewhat lazy. i called my vet but apparently they are closed now, & i don't want to wait too long.

could it be a urinary/bladder problem? how serious is it? does it require surgery or just medicine? is there anything i can/should do until tomorrow?

I have a toy poodle that breed with my toy poodle male 3 times. I let her outside to potty and the dog down the road a miniature schnauzer mated with her twice. She is due in 3wks and the schnauzer was a lot bigger than her. I thought she was going out of heat but I guess I was worng. My male poodle was only 7 months old so he may have been too young. I want to make sure she can pass the pups by herself or if I need to take her to the vet to get a c-section please help. I felt her belly and the puppies feel big but I don't know how big they are or how many. Thanks,

I want to get rid of the fleas my dog caught I HATE BUGS...so I want to get her shaved. I am going to take her to a local place to get groomed and tell them to shave her. ALL THE WAY DOWN.

I feel like this is the best wat to get rid of them because they will also give her a flea bath. While she is getting groom I plan to clean the house and especially her dog house.
I feel like this is okay because it's summer and I will be getting her fixed soon.
Do you guys think this is mean. My fiance feel like it is messes up but I think she will feel better.

What do you think?
Will it help with the fleas?

why is my lil yorkie afraid thunder storms? is there any way to make him not so scared? he starts shakeing , breathing hard, hides ( in our bath room behind the toliet ) and wont calmdown till its gone, and he seems like he knows when there comeing because he will be extra scarry, any one got anythang?

First of all i have a pitbull puppy and no im not using him for fighting. Ive done some research on the spring poles and i have received mixed reviews. I live in the desert and we dont have any trees in our back yard and i am looking for things for him to play with. Trust me he has plenty of toys hes pretty much spoiled lol. I really want to know if it safe for him when he gets older. Once again i do not believe in dog fighting. Please be considerate i am a first time dog owner.

You don't allow IM, you don't allow email- I hope you read this. PLEASE STOP REPORTING ME. I am not violating anything but stating you should not buy mixed breed dogs from backyard breeders and their are plenty in shelters. I do not want to be locked out of my account AGAIN because you don't like my opinion.

My buddy Bill bought a dog a few weeks ago that was abused, and it ran away. We found out it was shot and killed. I helped him find that dog because I thought it would do him some good because he's been going through alot of family problems and dogs are said to help poeple cope with things. I thought I was helping him but it just made things worse , and now he thinks getting a dog would be a bad idea. Do you think he should try a dog agian? You think it would help him feel less depressed? I really think he should try agian but get a healthy dog with a better past, what do you think?
