my 10 yr old spaniel b1tch is acting very peculiar recently. She's taking things, especially things belonging to the kids, and hiding them under the cushion in her basket, it's usually their shoes or toys, and sometimes it's something of mine. She's eating,and drinking ok, the vet can't see her till next week. She has been spayed. What could it be?

I was wondering what peoples opinions are on choke chain collars. I see many people use them, especially for labs. Are they for training or for dogs who tend to pull on the leash alot?

I don't use one, nor do I need to, but I was wondering what people thought about them and what their purpose was.

You have to love some of the folks here.

I realize where some of this is coming from, so I'll at least stay away from that.

I've been training dogs for nearly 40 years. My dogs know what their boundaries are. My dogs have been in parades, been on TV and been on TV for doggie game shows (That's My Dog).

I just love it here when you hear folks talking about getting their dog's respect. It falls just below my other favorite one, "My dog is doing this just to make me angry." Or how about, "My dog just has selective hearing."

Okay. I'll give you folks an opportunity.

You want to tell me what getting a dog's respect means to you? You can also make it the reverse, how does a dog disrespect you?

I want to get a king charles cavalier but wanted to know a bit about them before I make the decision. I dont know anyone who has one so dont really know alot about them. I have heard they are quite friendly dogs which is what im after but are they a relaxed sort of dog as I dont want one that is really hiper as I had a jack russle before and he was so active and naughty. Are they quick at learning and my main question is are they good with children. Basicly anything you couls tell me good and bad about this sort of dog will be greatly appreciated.

someone answers a dog question with a huge cut & pasted answer that was obviously lifted (plagiarized) from a website?? So, you read through what might have been a decent answer and get to the bottom and they have given NO SOURCE for who they stole the answer from...

Would you prefer to have the answer cut and pasted or just an inserted link? And how do you feel about plagiarism?

Okay I Loveeeeee My Dog More Then Anything In The whole World unverse and everything. I'm Going To Europe And I'm Really Going To miss him sooooo much I was aleeady crying and no I can't stop thinking about him hes my little baby well yeah because i LOVE him soo much dog love and he's gong to a dog hotel for 27 days till we come back and I'm really going to miss him I'm even crying right now. I mean how did they get that name. My dad told me because there once was a new breed of dog found and no one knew what to call it until one day their owner came home from work and it had gone poopies all over the place and he said "Man it is like a Shi't Zoo in here? A 2.5 male schnauzer, it's my exes, and he pees whenever he walks into anywhere - multiple times. He sniffs, lifts his leg, and goes. And my ex enver took him on walks, he had a door, I will be kenneling him, and walking him after work. He gets SUPER excited and crazy on a leash. Any advice?

Im watching someone elses dog but my dog trys to keep biting it and if i tie her up she'll bark and wake up the neighbors

My dad called the vet and told him what's wrong with him and they said he's dehydrated.
So we give him water and everything, but he pukes up his food or whatever he eats or drinks, just not all of it.
Right now he's barely moving, but he would roll over onto his side and he's just okay, he just won't stand up.
He just won't stand up or walk or anything like he's in pain or something.
And making weird noises like he's growling or something, like he's moaning.
Do you think it's his stomach?
Or could it be something else?

I really don't want my dog to die :(.
