by crating him... the garage is way too big a place to be left alone... dogs are den animals and feel safer in small places.
Good Luck

Its not right for a dog 2 be in a garage.
If u want 2 train him get a crate but don't leave him in the crate for hours and hours. If u are at home and u are going 2 have visitors get a chain him up out side if u dont have a fenced in yard.

A garage is a place to keep a car, not a dog. To keep your dog from scratching the garage door, don't lock him in there. How would you like to be locked all alone in a garage for any length of time?

dogs are den animals he would prefer a dog house to the garage even it it has its door closed like a pen. train him to it by having him be in the pen while you are right there by him and do it for at least 2 weeks

The garage? As in where you park your cars?? Why is the dog in the garage to begin with? I am guessing he doesn't like it in there so why not try to find a better place for him to hang out.

Don't leave him locked in the garage.. Crate train him and leave him in the house when you go out.

Give him some toys to play with when you leave. Kongs are great you can fill them with treats and they will play with it for hours.
He wants your attention, I also suggest taking him for a walk before you put him in the garage.
get a crate!
