Does anyone here have a bloodhound or black and tan coonhound. Ive always wanted to own one of these breeds. If you have either dog what is its name, age, and gender. What are their personalities. Ive been around bloodhounds but not black and tan coonhounds. If any of you have pics of your hound please post it!

I would provide the hound with plenty of opportunites to be around livestock...and even hunt rodents. I am very active with my dogs and it would be exercised often.

I work at a vet clinic, and we have a girl named Gabe who comes in with her black and tan coonhound Izzy. Gabe is in a wheel chair, and Izzy is her service dog. Izzy is very sweet, but has had a lot of health problems. But she pushes through, and she is a happy healthy dog today. I just saw them last month, and they are doing great. Izzy is a stong, goofy, loving dog. Gabe couldn't be happier with her choice for a black and tan coonhound.
Here is some more information about them:

Names:Thunder and Dylan and Lisa and Stacey.
Age:5+ years
Gender: 2Males and 2Females.
Personality:
After meeting our first Bloodhound friends in 2001, we knew we were hooked. Two lovely boys(Thunder and Dylan)stole our hearts with their incredible personalities and those adorable wrinkles.Lisa and Stacey came 3 months later.
Our dogs really are an intricate part of our lives. Each of our dogs has a separate piece of our heart and luckily there is PLENTY of love to go around. We enjoy all the different "quirks" each of them possess. We have built our home to suit them, we are planning our property to fulfill their needs and all of our travels revolve around their presence. I can only begin to describe what they all mean to us.
We are very active with our dogs, competing in areas appropriate to each breed. With the Bloodhounds we compete in Conformation, Obedience, Rally and Trailing. Thunder and Dylan are an excellent hunting dogs they love nothing more, than to be in the field searching for birds. lisa and Stacey will be working on completing titles in Conformation, Obedience, Water Rescue and Draft work.

My moms best friend has 2 black and tans, they are SO funny! They are 4 years old and their names are Cletus and Layla. They have that typical hound bark and can be total couch potatoes. They get along with other dogs on neutral ground but if we take our dog over there, they do not get along.

Look up Full Cry Magazine. It's a periodical strictly devoted to hound and coon dogs. You should be able to find a reputable breeder there.

My cousin, who's a cop, has a bloodhound who's a retired police dog. This dog is so mellow, it's amazing he's breathing. He's just a laid back lump of a dog.
