This varies from dogs to dogs and breed to breed. Some dogs go into heat every 6 months. Others every 3-4 months. Some every 8 months. Basenjis...once a year.
The length of the heat varies from dog to dog also. I have one who is in heat for 15 days each time, another who drags it on for 35 days.

Normally twice a year and normally for about a month. But some dogs are differnt just like real human women.

well i think its same for all dogs im not sure but mine gets hers every 6 months and she gets it for like 5 weeks. she goes two to 3 weeks then she stops for like 2 or 3 days and then it lasts for a week or two after that
