I'm a little apprenhensive as I always think that there is always an element of risk when an operation is involved. My dog is 5 years old and she has bad breath. Her bad breath does not bother me, but I'm just worried if I don't solve this for her, it might affect her

well i have a lovely liltle chihuahua whichis 3 years old and she listens well so we decided to breed her cause we really want a puppy so it can be the same blood running in the puppy but the thing is that i don't know when she goes into heat???

My dog has fleas. we have tried everything to get the fleas to go away... all the sprays, the baths, the dips, the gels.... he still has em. Whats the best way to rid him of these buggers? they arent on my other dog... we did the whole house with anti flea spray. He's chewing himself and its making him looked raggy. Help!

For the last 6 months or so my pug has become obsessed with drinking water, as soon as he wakes up, or just through out the day he goes and drinks a lot of water and i have fill his bowl up a couple of times before he is satisfied, then he pees 5 or six times within an hour or so. his pee is always clear and clean, unlike my other dog's pee who is very dark yellow because he doesn't drink that much water, could there be something wrong with my pug?

We have an inground pool and my dog loves to swim .. he is a little dog, about 10lbs or so.. he throws his ball in the pool and jumps in to get it all the time. I supervise him, but is the chlorine bad for their skin? It doesnt really seem to be affecting him yet..

eats at least three hotdogs a day? I do give my dog regular dog food also, but he likes hotdogs so much that I just got into the habit of buying them at the store for him. They are both cheap and he goes crazy over them! It started out with one, and now I feed him three a day.. is that bad? I know its "human food" but its also meat right?

My Zoey girl had a litter of purebred boxer pups on July 19th. They all kind of look the same. Some seem to look brindle..but others look kinda brindle but maybe fawn. What age will we pretty much be able to see for sure?

We have a female who is 4 months old. She is very alert and does let us know if ANYTHING is moving. She is already housebroken and knows how to "sit". So I know she is smart but I would just like to get some advice from someone who perhaps has skills in training a Dobie for personal protection. I dont want an agressive dog but I do want a dog who is going to not allow someone into our home. My children and I are alone at night alot due to hubbys work hours.

Kids ages are 12, 9, & 2. We want a small to medium dog that doesn't shed much preferably. Also prefer a dog that is smart, not too hyper, but somewhat playful at the same time.

My dog has (i think) Sarcopitc mites on the tips of her ears. She's a cockapoo and she has the ears that fold over. The doctor (the last time[this is the second time shes had it]) gave me this yellow stuff that smells like rotten eggs (i think its sulfur i think) and so i applied it on the area where the mites are, and both ears became inflamed. I was wondering (becuase right now i dont have the money to take her to the vet, i wont have it for another 2 weeks til i get my check) if there is any over the counter medicine that i can use to stop the inflamation and to get rid of the Sarcoptic mite (scabie mites). I would REALLY appreciate it if someone can get back to me because im worried about my dog. All she keeps on doing is shaking her head.

they are switching stud dogs from different states from other amish...much the same as they do their daughters..so their is no inner breeding....does anyone know anything about this..i visited the puppy mill they have...as it is right down the road from me...has anyone checked this out on the internet just wondering if there is any info on it....it was very clean, and i know they are supplying pet stores in kentucky ohio indiana and illinois...

I have two dogs, a lab and a weimaraner (both full grown). Both are on K9 Advantix, and both have been rolling in the dirt outside. They desperately need a bath, but I don't know what to use! My instinct is to assume the advantix soaks in and it won't be a problem, but I don't want to take that chance. Any suggestions on what kind of shampoo I can use?
Please, no lectures on which flea treatment is better. My mind is made up, and this is the one that I prefer. thanks!
