I have two dogs, a lab and a weimaraner (both full grown). Both are on K9 Advantix, and both have been rolling in the dirt outside. They desperately need a bath, but I don't know what to use! My instinct is to assume the advantix soaks in and it won't be a problem, but I don't want to take that chance. Any suggestions on what kind of shampoo I can use?
Please, no lectures on which flea treatment is better. My mind is made up, and this is the one that I prefer. thanks!

At our practice we recommend any shampoo that is made for dogs and is soap-free. This way it won't strip off the Advantix and oils from the skin. Try not to bathe more than once a month. Advantix is great on dogs! :)

As long as you've waited a few days after the application any dog shampoo should be fine, as the Advantix will have already been absorbed.

it depends, when did you put the stuff on? i am pretty sure that you are supposed to wait 2-4 days before and after putting the flea stuff on to bath them so if you just put it on today i would put them in the basement or something for the night and wait til tomorrow to wash it off because i know you are supposed to wait at least 2 days to bath them and there arent really any shampoos that you can use that would be that gentle. you could try just rinsing off the effected area with water and not go near the shoulders or even wash them off with a wet rag or something til you can bath them better later. well dogs will be dogs and good luck!

We use regular dog shampoo..not flea shampoos. Our vet told us it is okay to use regular shampoo. Flea shampoo cancels out the Advantix.

I remembered seeing this stuff at www.petco.com that was shampoo that didn't wash away the K9 Advantix. I went back to website and I found the link for you! Here it is:
