He just started to do this recently. We give him a bath and 3 or 4 days later he does it again! He is 4 years old.

My dog is neutered so why do they have to pee on another dogs poop? Or pee on where another dog just peed?

He poops about 6 times an hour, which is obviously quite excessive, and he seems to strain himself when he poops. He sometimes whimpers. He isn't constipated because each time he tries, he poops. The poop isn't very hard or very soft, it's right about in the middle. I don't understand what would be making this happen. He eats fine, doesn't throw up, and is active. He just has this pooping problem.

We feed him on a regular schedule. Once in the morning and once at night. We feed him purina beneful for puppies

Everyone seems to say this isn't a good food for him. Does anyone have any suggestions for a better food, or does anyone know what might be wrong with him??

I live in a appartment ( I know someone is going to tell me i shouldnt have gotten a whippet if i live in an appartment, save your breath) but anyway i want to let him run, but im worried he wont come back to me, because i just got him and im not sure he knows his name, or that he needs to come to me when i call! obviously i cant run as fast as him so running with him is not a option
I would like to enroll him in some activities for greyhounds and whippets, but i just would like to let him run now....

what should i do, how would i test him to see if he would come back... help

I adopted a puppy (a Tennessee Treeing Mountain Cur) to help my other dog (that I also adopted) come out of her shell however the new puppy is extremely dominant and destructive. She tears up bags of charcoal, potting soil, diggs up the yard chews up shoes she even chewed a hole in my wall she went almost clean through it. Not one day goes by that she doesnt destroy something. On top of that my other dog and my cat are always covered in sores from my puppies constant need to "play" with them. Ive tried telling her no putting her in a kennel hideing treats around the house to amuse her I cant seem to get a leg up on this dog..I know hunting dogs are different than normal dogs and If I'd have known her breed I wouldnt have taken her but shes here and we love her. So I need to find a happy medium between her need to hunt and my need not to have a torn up home and yard.

I am staying with a friends of a friends dog for the weekend. He's a jack Russel. I had one for 9 years and loved him to bits, but he died of cancer. So i agreed. I brought the dog home, he has been barking ever since. He barks when I sneeze, when I flush, when I walk around. It's nuts. I figured he's home sick. This morning i started to vacuum, he started to attack the machine, so i turned it off took him by his harness and was going to put him in the yard. He bit me. I yelled at him! And now ever since if i go near him he charges me and tries to bite me again. What do I do?

she dosant stop the bowl holds about 5 lts she guzzles almost all in 1 go has an enormous wee and drinks aload more, until her belly is so full she looks like a barral. i have to fill her bowl up at least 4 times a day, shes on dry food, but my other 2 dogs dont drink anywhere near the amount she drinks, this has only started over the last 5 months, she seems to be putting on alot of weight and getting lazy even though she dont eat much.

hes a jack russell so he is usually very hyper. Lately he has not done anything but lay around. He wont eat much or drink. The other day his body was cold. His nose is like an ice cube and he has a lot of spit gathering in his mouth. He has diarrehea and is throwing up mucus. I've tried calling vets in my area but none of them are in today. I dont know what to do. What could be wrong with him?

We took him to the vet this past Tuesday for him puppy vacs and his de worming. Now he has a little bit of diarrhea and isn't wanting to eat. I just caught him going to town on his thick plastic water bowl which he has never done before. I'm wondering if he is teething. Would that cause all of these issues? How old are puppies when they start teething.

For the first time ever I'm able to afford insurance for my two dogs, both aged 8 years and 2 months, and have arranged cover with Tesco. They'll both be insured for just under £25 a month and on paper it's a very good deal, but is it? Really? Have you had any bad experiences that would put you off? I've always shied away from insurance because I didn't think it was worth it (and couldn't afford it in the past anyway) as there are so many exclusions, but a lot is also covered, so is it worth it? I know it's my decision, but different views on pet insurance would be appreciated.

ok so I rescued a stray Blue Heeler dog from work the other day. she is limping somewhat so i assume she might have gotten hit or something.
she looks decently healthy, she has a nice coat of hair and clean teeth so i guess shes pretty young, maybe a year.

anyways, ive had her about 3 days now and i just noticed when she jumped up on my waist, she has pus bumps under her arm pits.

does anyone know what that might be? pus bumps under arms and a few dried blood spots, someone help!
