I have a fenced yard that is the domain of my dogs. Last night I found that someone had once again thrown food over into my yard. That makes me nuts, to me this is like my kids taking candy from a stranger. Is it just me or should I be pissed. Then what to do because I don't know who is doing it.

u had niehgbors that were renting from u and werent following with how many dogs they said that they would have and no more than that?? ~ we this was our situation and kinda still is.
well our nieghbors have been renting from us for like 3yrs. and in the lease it said that they would only have one dog and that would be a rotti. and our pit bull when and got there rotti pregnant 3 times. and they decided to keep 2 males from the first litter. and they fight constintaly. and they have to keep them seperate 24/7. this is y where evicting them(cuz there dog attacks ours). there rotti attacks our chow chow all the time. our chow had 9 bit wounds on her and we brought her to the vet and they said to call the dog catcher and they WERE gonna take the rotti and one od the males cuz they both tried to attack our dog but the rotti was succefull. and now since then they have been trying to hid the dog in there house. and would quickly put her inside if a car drove by. and now were evicting them.

Scooter, our 10 mnth old Irish Wolfhound mix, adopted us at the pound when she was about 3 months old.she's been my constant companion ever since. She's never shown any sign of trauma before, but recently, when i went to groom her face, she cowered. grooming the rest of her went off w/o a hitch, but she shows fear when i try to groom the hair around her eyes and jowls. could she be remembering some cruelty dealt her as a pup by her previous owner? other than when i groom her, she's a loving, active, incredibly playful and normal dog. plz help me understand what's going on inside her noodle so i can help her if she needs it.

Anti-biotic and pain medication has been given as directed. Dr. Hours are closed. This is not an emergency, I just would appreciate if there is anything I could do since I just noticed it in early a.m. hours.

Okay, well I got two new puppies. I am trying very hard to figure out what breed these pups are, the guy I got them from told me, but Im not sure if he was right or not. So after I get some responces ill tell you all what. I just want to see what you guys think without having the thought of what they might be affecting your judgment. I posted on another forum, and they all pretty much saying the same thing, so thought id let people guess here and see what they come up with :) Also would you say there littermates, or not?
PS, they may be purebred and they might be mixed.

My 10 mo old puppy dumped her water bucket early Saturday morning. I slept late. I checked on her in the afternoon, found the tipped over bucket. She was clearly dehydrated ang going into shock. Low temp, muscle tremors... the whole thing.

I got her to the emergency vet pronto. They gave 1 liter subQ fluids. (for a 24.4lb dog) and Rebound (liquid diet) to go home and instructions to offer tiny amounts of water and food frequently.

She won't touch the rebound. Took 1 lick of an egg and ate 1 bite of food. I know a healthy adult dog can fast for days with no ill effects, but this is not a healthy adult dog. She is visibly loosing weight.

Her normal behavior is crazy-hyper puppy. She is refusing to get up, but is able to... very slowly...

We're going into the vet first thing tomorrow am for additional bloodwork - so don't bother saying "take her to the vet."

Any experiences on complications from acute dehydration?

My dog, which is very well behaved in all other areas, does not like other dogs sniffing her butt of any where near it. She usually jumps a bit, tucks her tail, and then sits down away from the dog... but sometimes she turns to face the dog and growls or even snaps! She's friendly to dogs besides then, playing well and has never actually bitten a dog or a person other than gentle play bites.
She also doesn't seem to have dominance issues as she lets other dogs eat out of her bowl and play with her toys, and lets people pet her and take food and treats away from her. She is not allowed on furniture and sleeps on the floor. She's a standard poodle (fyi) and is 5 years old.

breaks my heart all the cats and dogs get put to death every year.also the ignored dogs i see on A CHAIN EVERY DAY when i walk my dog they always there.I dont understand how people can put a dog outside their house then just forget it is there. a dog bonds with people forever we are their pack and to betray them with cruelty or neglect is unexcuseable to me. i spay and neuter every cat or dog i get and they have all been abandoned or abused .

Thanks for everyone's help on my fruits & veggies post! I just have a question about eggs. I heard eggs are a great source of nutrients for dogs but is it better for the eggs to be cooked or raw? I've read that raw eggs could carry salmonella- making them a dangerous snack. Is this true? Do you give your dog cooked or raw eggs??
