My dog dug up some of my mom's mum plants and started to eat some of them. And lately she has been vomiting. What should we do?

My Border Collie's skin is raw and bleeding from a bad groomer. Its like he has bad razor burn.

Aside from the negative image portrayed by movies and TV, is this mix suitable to be a family pet with small children? I am also considering adopting a young Boxer/German Sheperd mix.

I am aware that ALL dogs and small children should be supervised constantly.

i own a female and a male lab and i would like to start breeidng them together as a hobby possibly. they are registered. karly is continental kenel club reg. and prince is apr registered but i have been told that i can still akc register her puppies and her litter with the akc.

wouldy you possiblt have any informative and helpfull tips on breeding labs? like i also need tips on labs and how they should be cared for as moms. also with labs, how long r they pregnant for.?. anyh extra info or tips would be fantastiC!

I recently purchased a Rottweiler dog from my sister who is expecting a child soon and as her Rott hasn't been socialized with kids, she wanted to give her to me as I'm moving from Florida.

She is a beautiful, AKC registered Rottie who I wanted to show and possibly breed with my friend's Rott who is moving with me. Even if I don't breed Charlotte, I would still like to show her.

Is it still possible to dock her tail and crop her ears now? The ears aren't a huge deal but I would definitely like to dock her tail ASAP. I don't WANT to dock the tail as I personally don't agree with it but the AKC breed standard says it must be done.

Is it too late to have her tail docked and/or ears cropped?

* Just an additional question regarding cropping the ears of a Golden Retriever - my friend owns a 5 month old Golden and she wants to crop his ears. Can the procedure be done on a Golden Retriever or not? Don't ask me WHY she wants to - she just wants to, even though he is beautiful now.

My partner and I bought a three month old miniature Bull terrier three days ago and he's gorgeous. However, we have a feeling he may have been mistreated before we bought him he's covered in tiny cuts and although he seems happy he never wags his tail. Also, when we play with him he never licks but bites really hard, I've had puppies before and know that they nip when playing but he really bites hard, not only us, but also himself. Is this normal behaviour? And if not is he likely to grow out of it?

So my Chihuahua is gonna need a way to get up and down my bed. She is to young and is not completely potty trained just yet. So I have some time to put together some type of contraption. What do you people do with mini chi’s and toy chi’s? mine is a standard size but she still wont be able to get on and off without help……..any suggestions?

I went to the vets already and he said it was a severe reaction to a bug bite of some kind. Since then, it has grown more and has also become harder. I am really concerned at this point because the vet said to give her the medications and put ice on it for swelling. Nothing seems to be working. Its only been a few days but im still scared. What could this be?

I have a pure breed chihuahua he is 6 months old. His parents were not papered but they are both full blooded chihuahuas. Is there anything I can do to get mine registered? I heard that if I can trace back 3 lines that would count not sure how true that is but i can get his parents names and there parents names any info please help..

I had puppies that were born in January, and instead of getting rid of them, we got attached. My girl puppy came up missing 3 days ago, and we found her tonight, barely moving, not eating, not drinking, looking like a skeleton with fur (she is a basset hound) I brought her in, bathed her and started force feeding her water with sugar in it. I thought in the bath, that she was bleeding, and after getting her out, realised that she was having bloody diarrhea with vomiting. I am still forcing water in her every 30 min to an hour (about 1/3 oz) I put echinacea in her water, thinking of the immunity boosting properties. We can't afford the after hours er vet, because they literally have to come from out of town to get here. Does anyone have any home remedies to try that have worked. I don't want her to die, I couldn't bear it.

We just got a new puppy, male rat terrier. Mostly black, with white chest, white feet, brown "socks" , white tip to the tail, and a white circle on his forehead. We would really like something to do with the white circle but are completely clueless to a cute, quirky name for him. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've had a 2 year old female lasa absa(sp?) and someone just gave us a 1 year old male shih poo! Neither one fixed! I'm wondering if it would make life easier if I got the female fixed! Or if I should just let them mate! These are my first dogs! Any advice will help!

i was at the park with my friend and our dogs and this puppy (which was going to become a big dog) came over and started smelling our dogs and playing with them.when the owner called him and the dog didn't come, he went over there grabbed the dogs collar which had a choke chain on it and pulled him away. the started yelping and then ran away and hid under a seat. i want to report him but i never got a proper look at his face and i dont know the breed of the dog. is there anything else i can do? it was a really terrible sight.

the dog had short, light brown fur and had black around his mouth.
