I went to the vets already and he said it was a severe reaction to a bug bite of some kind. Since then, it has grown more and has also become harder. I am really concerned at this point because the vet said to give her the medications and put ice on it for swelling. Nothing seems to be working. Its only been a few days but im still scared. What could this be?

Sometimes things look worse before they start to get better.. If you feel that it isn't healing up like it should then you should let the vet know that what he presecribed isn't doing the job.. But because it has only been a few days, I would give it at least a few more before I got too worried about it.. Some medications need to be taken for a certain length of time before they can even start to do their job.. Some medications start to work relatively quickly. Depends on what you were prescribed...
