Sometimes dogs just don't like their environment. A friend had a dog that was nuts and she finally gave it away and with the new owner the dog was perfectly normal. I am not saying to give the dog away, but I would take it to the vet, to dog obedience school, and get some advise as well, just like you are doing now!

Depends what kind of dog you have.
My dog is psychotic and many people think it's because he's part Border Collie.
If you give your dog a job, or train it really cool tricks, or take him for three mile walks a day, he may not do such neurotic things. I really don't know what your dog is doing that's nuts so it's hard to help. Certain breeds of dogs become totally nuts when bored though. Your dog probably just needs something to do.

If he is from a quality breeding, and he has no health issues.. The answer is nearly always MORE exercise.. Wear the nut case out, the tired dog is the good dog.. Teach him something, learning wears a dog out faster than anything..

If this statement is serious then I would suggest that you chat with your vet about your dog. If your dog is acting like he or she has too much energy that needs to be expended and quite frequently this will show itself as a dog that is out of control, then your dog needs more exercise. You don't mention any info about your dog, so before going any further I am going to assume that this question has no merit and requires no real response.
If you are truly having an issue with your dog then please give us more info and we will try to help, otherwise please find something else to occupy your time!!

If you mean he is wild: give him outside exercise time more often, so he wants to go to sleep at night
If you mean he is mentally nuts: either take him to a vet, or take him to a dog whisperer

Bring the dog to the vet, and see if the dog has an serious medical problems. I'm afraid there's no dog psychiatrist though to guage the dog's mental state, but hey I wouldn't be surprised if there were.
But if the dog is really nuts bring him to the doggy impound, or call the SPCA.

O.K. A little more info would have been helpful. Is it a male or female? In tact or not? A puppy or an adult? In a crate all day and not worked at all? Is he/she extremely distructive? What is this dog doing that makes him/her so nuts? Is it a Lab???

You have to train it.
You have to ake it to a dog park for at least one hour every day to let it run off energy.
