I just read the CKC will paper unregistered dogs but you have to have witnesses and 3 pics of the dog sent in and they go over the info.

Is this the Canadian Kennel Club? If you bought the dog from a breeder, it's their responsibility to register the litter with the CKC. If they didn't do that, contact them first. If you were expecting papers for the dog and didn't get them, you can submit a complaint with the CKC against the breeder. If the sire and dam were'nt registered either though, I'm not sure what you can do.

I would definatly call the AKC and talk to one of the people there and see what they say. You will need the parents registered name as well as their ID numbers ( this is the number that I believes goes in the registration book when the dog is first registered). You will also need the date the puppy was whelped ( the date the puppy was born on).
Hopefully this is of some help.
I believe that the AKC web site is AKC.org

I assume you mean Continental Kennel Club by CKC. In that case, don't affiliate yourself with that joke of a "registry".

In the case of AKC, no, your dog cannot be registered if its parents are not registered. However, you can get an Indefinite Listing Privilege (ILP) via AKC if you want to participate in dog sports such as competitive Obedience, Agility, Earth Dog, lure coursing, Junior Showmanship, etc. Basically, you can participate in any sport other than conformation. That alone is reserved for registered purebreds.

You can also get a Limited Privilege via UKC (United Kennel Club). It acts the same as an ILP does for AKC. It allows you to participate in any sport, with the exemption of conformation.

If you're interested in registering in an effort to breed your dog, please don't and neuter him instead.

Nope.. If the parents are NOT registered, then your dog is not eligible for registration..
If the parents are not registered, they are considered mutts and shouldn't have been bred.
You can trace back a million years but if you have no paperwork, registration, pedigree or anything else, it means absolutely nothing.
The people who own the parents, should have gotten their dogs registered before they bred them, if the dogs were eligible for registration.
If they are not registered but were eligible for registration somewhere along the line, there must be some reason why they didn't get them registered, it costs next to nothing to have it done.

The parents are mutts, your dog is a mutt, rather then thinking of breeding, you should have him neutered.

they maybe mutt to the papers, but they're our pet alright...
cuz my rotties also doesn't have papers.
Even though a side of their parents is lisenced.

Unfortunately if the parents are not registered then you will not be abler to register your puppy (to the best of my knowledge).
