invest in a steam cleaner for your carpets . My husband and I did and that was the best thing we did cause we steam our carpets every other weekend and be sure and use either natures miracle in the water or bleach just a little . and then steam clean and you will notice the smell will be gone . good luck .

I used odoban ( you can get it from walmart)while I was housebreaking my dog. It works really well and it don't stink. You could also sprinkle baking soda on that area or the entire carpet and that also works really well.
