only if they stop eating or the plasic does not show up in the poop. If the dog starts vomiting, or any bleeding from the mouth you need to contact the vet. Most dogs chew a plastic item and they will pass it. So check the dogs stool and watch when they eat that everything is staying down.

Plastic is not digestible. It can cause blockages in the intestines and cause severe problems. If it was a huge piece of plastic, it is probably advisable to take your dog to the vet.
If the plastic 'passes' it should be theoretically no problem, however, you have no idea if he chewed it into little pieces in the process or not. Therein lies the problem. Some may pass, others may NOT. Some may be sharp and lacerate his stomach or intestines. Watch him carefully, if he has any change in habits re. eating, drinking or pooping, get him to the vet and fast.

Depends on how large the pieces were. Just watch him/her for any changes in behavior. Also watch for his poop over the next 24-48 hours. You should see the plastic & paper come out. Dogs digestive systems are much faster than humans. My dog (15 lbs) ate some sparkly tinsel one C'mas (which can be very toxic). She did fine...but had sparkly poop the next day!

It depends on the size and shape of the plastic. put your ear up to its belly and listen for gurgling after it eats something . If you can hear good strong stomach noise the usually will keep the plastic moving. if no sound feel the belly for a big lump the farther down the digestive tract the better. if your dog flinches or reacts strongly to your touch go to the vet.

It depends on the plastic it ate. Is it sharp? Is it round and bigger than a big Duracell battery? If it is, call the vet immediately. If you find it barfing up blood go to a ER. Chances are the plastic is stuck in the intestines. GL!!!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7vD
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Huskies will chew everything in sight, be careful. Most inedible items like plastic, baseball hats, sunglasses *sigh* will go through, but you need to watch them and make sure they don't make a habit. It may cause blockage if it is big enough.
(to those how may worry about the post, my husky liked nylons but she was ok by the time I learned how to get her away from them.)

well plastic does not dissolve.... it stays in its system... if it ate little parts of plastic, it will pass right through. if it ate big parts then you should be worried. you need to watch it see if it has trouble pooping or running regular activities.good luck

you should be worried about the plastic, depending on how big it was, paper wont hurt your dog, my cat eats paper, it wont harm them just dont let him make a habit out of it.

I don't think it'll hurt her. Just keep an eye on her and if you're worried, call your vet and ask her.
