I'm not sure I can afford to take my dog to the vet right away. If she has a fever, is there anything I can do to help lower it or make her more comfortable until I can get her to the vet?

So, I got my dog three years ago almost to the day and I got him from a breeder in Missouri at the time I was young and didn't ask alot of questions. I was told he was a pure bred pomeranian but a little larger. I paid $400.00 for him when I picked him up. Got his AkC papers and he is registered. I always have had a suspision that he is not pure bred. He has some of the characteristics of one i.e. curled tail, fluffy coat but that is where the similarities end. He has a pointy nose, has a low bark and is 20 pounds!! He has recently run into medical issues and I really need to know his breed. I have approached the breeder in years past begging to know his true breed, she insists he is pom. I am pissed at this woman for lying to me and do not know how to convince her to tell me. Bottom line I love my dog no matter what he is, but I have a right to know and need to what do I do. Thank you so much!

My dog is usually very hyper and happy. But today she has been quiet, slow, and keeping to herself. Her nose isn't as wet as usual and her head and ears are hot. I'm not sure what's wrong, I don't know if she's sick or if its just weather.

Samson is 11 months old and I got him from a friend at 6 months old. Otherwise well behaved and socialable. But He keeps S&*^^*%$ and P*&(%%$ in the house. I've done the standard and rubbed his nose in it as soon as I find out that he has pottied in the house, then give him a wack on the rump. what else can I try. If this keeps up, out the door this guy goes and I really wouldn't want that.

I have a 2 y/o Boston terrier/French bulldog. He keeps pooping in the house in either the storage room in the basement or the spare room (i put him out often during the day) after he does i talk in my "mean" voice to him, give him a little spank (not too hard, i'm a softie) and then put him outside. however, after i discipline him, he often has an asthma attack (the breed is known for respitory problems) i want him to stop pooping in the house, but i feel so terrible when he starts wheezing :(

My 17 month old pitbull had her first litter of puppies, there were 9. On the second day of their life she killed them all and started to eat two of them, I still haven't found two of the bodies and I have searched all over my house. Why would she do such a horrible thing, and should I be worried about my 5 month old daughter if we keep her?

I've been reading everyone's input regarding paper/crate/potty training puppies. I've decided to get myself a yorkie pup (she'll be 10 wks old when I get her in about a month). I work a full time job. How do I manage this? I have no problem keeping her in a restricted area while I'm out, but how do I manage the training and the 8 hour work day? I desperately want to have her. Is it possible to accomplish this? I don't think it will be possible to let her out every two hours. Any ideas? Or do people like me not get puppies?

My dog just blew out his Carnial Cruciate ligament and the vet is reccomending TPLO or TTA surgery. THis is a very costly surgery and wanted to see if there are any alternatives.

I know I will get alot of bad comments but I would really love to know this. Our friends own a rottweiler and another couple we know own a Pitt Bull. My husband would like to have one of them. So which one of these breeds would be better with children. We have 3 and 8 yr old boy, a 3 year old girl and a 1 year old girl.
