I brush my dogs' teeth 3-4 times per week, they get CET chews, and one's had 2 dentals. They'll chew some, but less in there older age. I've been looking at oral care products LEBA III and the PetzLife products. Does anyone have any experience with these or any other suggestions for keeping tartar and plaque at bay in older dogs?

We came home today to one dog's jaw stuck in the others collar. It got stuck while wrestling and was stuck for hours. There was blood and poop everywhere. The bigger one with the collar was flinging the smaller one in the panic and hit walls, furniture. (Miniature dachshund vs Standard)

We took them to the vet, no fractures but the one's nose was lacerated inside, his neck was raw and the others jaw was swollen and bleeding. They are well medicated now and fine but my question is... how can we prevent this from happening again? Should we put breakaway collars on them? They've been microchipped.

Or is there a way to use regular collars safely so we dont have to worry when we are gone all day. It could have been so much worse. The little one's teeth almost came out and the big one was strangled. He had pitichial hemorrhaging and a bleeding nose, bruised and raw neck.

What can we do to prevent this? We feel so awful! The poor things. We came home early and just in time! What to do!?

My chihuahua has worms and they are long and white. What kind of worms are they and how did she get them. We just recently brought in a new kitten but she has fleas. What could the problem be? We're trying to find a Vet to take her to.

I'm quite desperate to know which breed is better. My cousin is giving me a pup of either breeds so I'mresearching o what breed is better. I have a medium sized backyard but also have a large space of cemented floor outside the house. I don't have much of a problem with grooming the coat because if ever I'll have a Cocker Spaniel, I am not planning on keeping it like a show dogs coat.. I have saved quite an amount of money for the arriving dogs needs.. Please help me decide..

I have a large breed dog and I have an extra large dog crate from a store like L.L.Bean, it is supposedley for up to a saint bernard size dog. My dog likes it cause it keeps him warm in the winter and cool in the summer, it is in the house. My friends say that this is a horrible, cruel, and wrong thing to do... However I find this ridiculous cause they may let their dog run around the house 24/7 but whenever their dog climbs on the sofa or does anything they do not like then they yell at their dog and bop it on the snout. This does nothing.... their dog still makes a mess and goes where they don't want him too. But mine always goes happily to the crate and gets a treat. He always stays by my side when I take him out. So what I'm asking for is your opinion.

I heard somewhere that marking your property with your own urine would help keep dogs and other animals away, but does anyone here really know if this works before I start getting up in the middle of the night to pee on my property line? Right now a fence is financially out of the question, plus I don't even want one. I would talk to the neighbors, but there are also a number of strays that find their way over. I just want to know if this or perhaps another non-fence building technique would work to keep animals away. To repeat: DO NOT TELL ME TO BUILD A FENCE. Thanks.

I am getting soo mad because i feel that my dad is being mean to him but he says "i'm just training him!" In a meanish way!! And my puppy Oliver, grets sooo lonly in his cadge. And i feeel so bad. Like right now he just went to the bathroom on the carpety so my dad stuck him in his cadge! I am soo mad! And now that he is in his cadge,he is crying! I feel soooo bad! I want to take him out sooo bad! And when he is in his cadge at night, he HATES it, because he can't sleep unless he is on the coutch! I still feel soo bad! Is what my dad is doing too mean, or is it normal to train a dog like that? Or is there something else u would like to say? Thanks!

I think it's just the breed, but one of her eyes weeps a bit. I've just been cleaning it off with a cotton ball and water. I read somewhere that if you change their food that can help and also that there are herbal remedies for it, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
