why do people in south kore eat dogs it horrible and nasty and cruel. I want them to stop doing that but why cant they accept tem as pets?

its like why do the french eat horses the answer a different culture i agree but when you think about it why do we think a dogs life is more important than a cow,lamb,pig well any animal that most of us eat it makes me think that perhaps vegetarian isn't such a bad idea i like chickens but i still eat them,to Koreans its just another form of meat sad i agree but there isn't anything you can really do i don't like the idea of chimps being eaten but they are its a fact of life us humans are sometimes inhumane don't you agree

Different people, different customs. Remember that in India, the cow is sacred and I'm sure there's people there wondering why Americans chow down on hamburgers, etc all the time! I don't believe that people should eat dogs either, but unless there is some other issue of cruelty involved (ie how they are slaughtered or raised) there's really not much we can do about it! Be thankful that you don't live there and have to experience it first hand!

well, we slaughter and kill cows. they are sacred in india....so they probably think we are just as cruel and mean. its just part of thier culture. why is slaughtering one animal so much worse than the next? granted dogs do have a personality and we love them a pets. not saying im for it, but it is thier culture. it wont stop. and it isnt much worse than all the dags that are euthanized at the humane society because of over breeding and people not spaying and neutering.

Lots of religions think its horrible to eat pigs and cows..... I mean i love dogs and i think its horrible, but its just a completly different culture over there.

Because in their culture it is okay to eat dog. Doesn't matter whether you think it is right or not, many people eat it, especially over seas. You would have to break thru centuries of programming to stop it.

hrm actually most people dont. The only ones who do eat them because they are too poor to get food. I know this is bad but... people could say the same things about people eating cows, chickens, possum, etc.

I agree but they say why do you eat cows, pigs and chickens? I daont agree with eating dog or cats but my father was watching a program where a delicasy is guinea pigs. they are sick out there aren't they

Why do people in this country breed their dogs, to the point that we massacre 5 million of them with the needle ever year in pounds and humane societies????????????

BECAUSE IT'S PART OF THEIR CULTURE. SOMETHING THEY HAVE DONE FOREVER. I DOUBT THAT IT WILL EVER CHANGE.
