I like the name cogle. I think they would be adorable.
We have a hairless chihuahua that bred with a mini-dachshund. My husband calls them hairless weiners.
Then one time we had a female shih tzu that mixed with the neighbor's bull dog. Hubby called them bull sh+++s. My neighbor still has one of the puppies. She's around 10 now, but still adorable.

I am sure you didn't need all those people telling you the dog is a mutt. You already knew that, Right?
Some are just arrogant and pompous. Don't know what the mix should be called.
Just say it's part Beagle and part cocker spaniel, if anyone want's to know. If it's your dog give it a name.

Well, for those calling the pup a mutt, that's not precisely correct, he is a cross breed or a mixed breed if you prefer, but definitely not a mutt. Not enough breeds to be considered a mutt, as for what you call it, by its name, do you go around saying hello, American, hello Chinese, hello Indian? It doesn't truly matter what breed your dog is unless your telling someone...and you just told me, didn't you, three quarters beagle one quarter spaniel, sounds good enough to me, if you call it by an odd name people really won't understand anyhow, but however you can make the two names sound good together is your best option if you need a mixed name. But I still say the pups NAME is the only one it needs.

A mutt, crossbreed, mongrel, a bitsa, tyke, cur, heinz 57...yea all of them sound about right. Or if you want to make it sound like some really rare and expensive costing dog call it a designer breed and give it some ridiculous made up name like a Bocker or a Ceagle and tell everyone you know about how its such a lovely breed but they are rare and were bred to do some ridiculous thing like not shed and it cost you an arm and a leg but it was sooo worth it because soon they will be accepted into the AKC and everyone will know how great they are and your dog could potentially be foundation stock for this new breed. :]
Your dog is a mutt end of story, please tell me you have it fixed.

A Coagle? Beager?
I am sure the poster meant a Cocker Spaniel...lets not act like morons.
We have a Cocker Spaniel and a jack Russell. We always joked that if they had puppies we would call them Cocker Jacks (like Cracker Jacks).

Well, technically, its a mutt. But if you want to come up with a cool name for it, go ahead! The only one I can think of though, is Cockerbee. I have a mutt puppy, I don't exactly know what she is mixed with, but the vet says she looks like a German Shepherd, mixed with Lab and Pitbull. If I were to make up a name for her, it would be too long, and no one would understand it anyway. Me and my sis were thinking how about "Gerlabpitt", it sounds so funny. When you actually say it though, it sounds french.
