none of them! the majority of foods at petsmart/petco/etc are junk.

Do some research online and find a high quality food with no additives or fillers in it.

We were feeding beneful (CRAP!!) for 3yrs until we wised up and di some research, now both pups are on Canidae ALS (canidae.com).

Innova is also a good food (naturapets.com)

we have to drive a bit farther to buy it, but our dogs love it and its much better for them

The most nutritious foods are not available a the "big box" stores. And the price doesn't have anything to do with the quality. Some of the pet foods that were poisoned by the Chinese wheat gluten were very expensive. If you want good nutritious food do some research. And don't ask anyone who sells pet foods.

I've got no idea what's at Petco but there are many healthy dog food brands available at most pet shops.
Innova, California Natural, Wellness, Eagle Pack, Canidae and Solid Gold are very healthy foods that have not been effected by any pet food recalls.

Nutro, Blue Buffalo, Royal Canin - look for anything that doesn't have corn meal and other random byproducts. The less "junk" in your food, the less your dog will need to eat, and the less he'll poop (high quality food fills them up, i.e. less is more, and more nutrients absorbed by the body) These are all available at Petsmart and probably at Petco too.

Before you buy you should search the pet food recall. The list contains over two thousand entries. My dog is ten years old and she's tried many brands. Seems the bigger brands are more nutritious than the grocery store cheep stuff but in all the offering my Molly still has her preferences.

Look for Solid Gold dog foods. They are the best brand that has no filler in it or by products. No corn or wheat either.
They make several types so pick the one that best suits your dog.
Oh yes Wellness is very good dog food also. thanks K I forgot about Wellness! They do sell this at PetCo.

It makes me wonder why people don't listen and suggest these garbage foods like Iams, Eukenuba, Pedigree, Purina, etc. UGH. READ THE INGREDIENTS!!! Or go to this linke and it will rate your dog food from a scale of 1-6. I'm sure the above dog foods will rate 1 because there isn't a lower rating. 6 being the best.

Innova, Wellness, Timberwolf, Chicken Soup, etc. is good for your dogs. I personally use Chicken Soup because of it's affordability and availability. Remember the better quality of food, the less you have to feed your dog and the less poopies you have to pick up.

I buy WELLNESS at Pet Supplies Plus. It's a premium grade food. Always read the ingredients before purchasing dog food to make sure it doesn't contain a lot of grain & filler.
They even have formulas for dogs will allergies:

Nutro's Natural Choice, no ground corn or chicken byproducts. Very healthy for your dog...they will eat less because they use ground rice, poop less because the dog is actually using those Ingredients instead of pooping them out the back end & shed less because the food uses high quality ingredients that are great for the skin/coat! Your dog will also be less gassy (which is a complaint I hear from people feeding other high quality foods that are grain free)
