I believe the dog will be in heaven.
I remember this Twilight Zone episode. This man died while hunting a Raccoon with his dog. First the Dog got Drowned and then the man trying to save his dog. They were both walking along the road and came to a gate and the gatekeeper ask the man to come in. But, the dog would not go and the gatekeeper say dogs not allowed. The man said, if his dog could not enter heaven then it not sound like a place he wanted to go and he just stay with his dog. They walked on down the road and came to another gate and the gatekeeper ask the man to come in. The man ask what about the dog. The gatekeeper say all dogs are welcome in heaven. The first gate is hell and no animal will enter hell.
So, that the story, not exactly correct. But, heaven is for animals just as much as it is for people. That how I see it!

My friend was going to write a book about dogs, and she said the Bible tells about animals/pets being in heaven.

As to your relatives and you, you all have to join together in getting closer to the Lord. Investigate this in the Bible. There is great comfort in knowing you will see your family in heaven. There is no sorrow in heaven. Get ready, thank God and Jesus for this wake up call. Move on with your life and make sure you live according to God's perfect way. Read John Chapter 3, verse 16 to start with. Read Proverbs for good advice on living life right. Once you start reading it is hard to put it down!

I beleive so. I'm so sorry for your loss. But there is this:

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Isn't that wonderful??? You take care now!

I am so sorry

I am a Christian, and I beleive every word in the Bible is true. In order for anyone to go to Heaven, they must accept Jesus as their Savoir (beleive that Jesus has died for your sins, and rose again) John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

I've heard people give testimony where Heaven has been revealed to them and they have seen animals, and plants. There are several scriptures that support that our "fur babies" spirits will move on to the next life. Here are 2 examples.

I'm sorry for your lose, and to be honest I don't know the only thing I do know is that I was always taught the heaven is the most wonderful place we will ever see and if there are no dogs how could it be?

For sure, and your dog is probably around you all the time too (spiritually), as would be your relatives. Every living thing goes to the other side when they die, so you will be with everyone you have lost. It's almost like a whole other live.

They say all dogs go to heaven, and we all like to think so, but really it is most likely a false hope. I am so sorry about your dog. Believe that you will see your dog again. It is easier to hope and pray for that result. As far as the relatives and you seeing each other again, if you live your life right you will.

Yes. I don't know how to explain this, but one person said that each pet you own will have his/her own house in heaven as big as a church right next to yours!

I am sorry for your loss!

As far as dog going to heaven...if dogs don't go to heaven I don't want to go to heaven...I want to go where my TRUE loved ones are!

Depends on your religion. But I believe that since the bible says that animals were created for human companionship, it would be silly for them not to go to heaven. If god knew that we would be happier with them here, it is not going to be any different up there.
Losing a pet hurts alot...I wish you luck and strength.
