Im looking for a dalmation puppy and looking online is giving me no luck. I am in Aiken SC and can travel up to 1 and a half hours to get one but I dont know where to start, if anyone has a good website or is selling any in my area please let me know. I do not want a puppy shipped to me I would like to see the pup for myself before purchasing it. Also, I cannot go over $300.00. Thanks All!!

Are you sure..... Dalmatians are the most stuborn dogs that never existed! They are really hard to train, I remember when it was in style a lot, 2 people I know got rid of theirs because they would just not listen. I hope you are doing you homework on researching their behavior and personnalities before you buy one an also hope that you will have plenty of time to sacrifice to your pup. This is the main reason why you don't hear much of them anymore. I don't mean to discourage you but you should definitely get on a forum of dogs and chat with owners and ex owners and get their opinion. Once you purchase a dog it should be for a very long time. Good luck

Just a little FYI, most good quality dogs are going to cost more than 300 dollars if you get them from a breeder. However, I did find a couple links for you for dalmation rescues in your area, and you can get them with usually all medical including spay'neuter for less than $300, and that is actually the best way to go. Hope these help

If you can't spend over $300 on the dog, you can't afford the vet. You will be getting bills that are more than $300.

the initial investment is a snowflake on the tip of an iceberg. The up front cost is nothing......NOTHING......compared to the maintenance.

I am not trying to be mean, I am trying to save you from a lot of anguish. The honest truth is YOU CAN'T AFFORD A DOG....ANY DOG.......YOU CAN'T AFFORD A FREE DOG.

Call a vet and ask them what you should expect to spend a year. If they won't tell you, call another one. Tell them to estimate what a fairly healthy dog will cost. Then, figure in the unexpected.

Dlamations eat a lot. Go to petsmart and see how much all that stuff is going to be to.

Then the puppy is going to wreck some stuff around the house and yard.

$300....that's funny.

My friend has a Dal and her name is Sprinkles. Even tho it does relate to her markings, I think it's really cute. EDIT: A blue eye? Did the breeder do a BAER test on the litter? That is a hearing test and all reputable breeders of Dals do them because deafness is so prevelant in this breed. A blue eye may mean it is very likely you have a puppy with a deaf ear. It would be on the same side as the blue eye if this is the case. If you are lucky, it is only one ear and not both. Would be good if you knew this now so you could be aware of a deaf ear for training purposes.

Try the Dalmation Club of America. They have a breeder section on their website.

Being a Dalmatian owner you might want to consider that dalmatians are hard to train, have medicals problems like hearing and are very very very very very hyper
