First GET HER TO THE VETS IMMEDIATELY.
This on not symptoms of a heat( period). Tehy on a rule every 6 months but varies per dog.
if she isn't eating and is lethargic this could be a very serious problem. you should never wait more than 3 days with these toy breeds or realy any animal with not eating or gettng lethargic and sleeping so much.
GET HER TO THE VETS NOW

Dogs generally go into "heat" twice a year after about 6 months of age. After their first heat they go into a 4-8 month cycle. Conceivably a dog could be in season three times a year. All the more reason to spay her after her first heat. If you don't have a bunch of male dogs hanging around acting horny and you haven't noticed any vaginal bleeding she probably isn't in season.
Time outside shouldn't be causing the lethargy you describe either. If it were me, and this had really been going on for a week (5-7 days) straight, I would be making a trip to the vet ASAP.

Dogs would not have a period.. They go into warmth or into season. They ordinarily come into heat appros 6-9 mos of age the primary time, after which every 6 months after that til they are spayed.

Dogs usually go into heat when they are around 6mo old. This shouldn't affect their appetite. She may have an illness that is causing her to feel this way. Don't let her get too hot in the sun. Make sure she has had her vaccinations.

Dogs don't have periods - they have heat cycles. If your dog hasn't eaten for a week, especially a tiny puppy like this one, why hasn't she been to the vet yet to find out what's wrong with her. If she's also stopped being as active as a normal puppy is, she should get to the vet.

You probably already know this but, I would recommend you take your baby to a vet immediately she sounds like she is sick. When we first got our female lab and she went into heat she was a little bit more tired but nothing like you are talking about.

Not wanting to eat and extreme lethargy are symtoms of extreme illness or heart trouble, not of "heat". You need to get your dog to a vet ASAP.

Dogs get their "periods" when they come into heat.
