To discipline him before you pick up the poo you should go get him and take him over to where the poo is at and make sure you get him real close to it and tell him bad dog and spank him on his butt to let him know what he is doing is wrong. You can also try the sprays you can get from PetSmart like bitter apple and stuff that you spray in the areas that they are doing naughty things and it works if they taste it or smell it and dont like it they stay away from that area....

Ok, ok, look, these things are very simple. IF you have ever heard of a show called,"Its Me or The Dog" comes on Animal Planet on Mondays. They actually just had a case like this about a week ago. The dog on that show had a lot more problems than yours does, or at least from what you have told us, and the trainer there, I am sorry but her name escapes me, some British chick, anyways, she saw the problem right away. The owners were what trainers call free feeding owners. That means that they fill the dog bowl with food, and then let the dog eat when she wanted too. Can't do that. As the trainer explained, if you control the feeding, then you can control the bowels. So take a step back and look. Do you feed him once a day, and just let him eat when ever he wants? IF so, then STOP!!!!!!!! Feed the little guy twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening. I am not sure on the amount, but a dog that size, I believe a cup twice a day is enough for him. When you take him out, wait him out. I know this is hard to do, but it can be done. I realize that you may not be able to take him for a walk in the morning which is the ideal solution to get the bowels moving, you maybe getting ready for work or school, or whatever. If this is the case, let him outside, and go take a shower, leave him out there till you get dressed, then come back, get him, and put him in a crate while you finish getting ready for your day. Take the dog out again before you leave and wait them out if possible. Also, if the dog is alone while you are gone for the day, then crate them to help provent the problem. Dogs often think of a crate as a small den. I have a 7 month old GSD and he is getting use to the crate, the way to do this is to feed them in the crate, but you have to control the feeding. Another thing about the controlled feeding, they don't get to eat when ever the hell they feel like it. Think of these ideas the same you would of a child. For example, an infant. IF you feed an infant, he is going to poop. And same for an older child, say a toddler, you do not allow him to just go in the kitchen and fix himself a meal do you? No, you control that too. When I feed my dogs, the food goes down, and from the second that the second bowl hits the floor, they have 20 minutes to eat, if they do not finish in 20 minutes, then the food comes up, and they have to wait till the next feeding time. And I don't care if they have their head buried in the bowl eating away, time is up. Your dog, like mine, should not so much as look at you with a slight snarl if you go to grab their food bowl. IF they do, then you have more problems then you realize. I hope this helps and one more thing, don't hit the dog, no matter what, it doesn't solve anything

Dogs rely primarily on smell to figure out their worlds, so you must clean the spot with a good cleanser when he poops where he shouldn't so that he doesn't smell it. If you watch him, you'll notice that he sniffs around when deciding where to poop. One of the cues he's looking for is the smell of poops of days gone by.
Pay close attention the WHEN he poops and try to accommodate his schedule by making sure he's outside when his time comes around.
Above all, don't ascribe human motivations to his behavior. He's a dog, not a child. As I said, he thinks with his nose.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aUO4s
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

First and most important, if you don't catch him in the act, you can not punish him!!! He won't associate the punishment with the deed, he'll only learn that you can't be trusted.
You have to get a really good enzyme cleaner so all traces of the smell are gone from where's he's been pooping - so he can't smell it or he'll never quit.
He's not really housetrained or he wouldn't keep doing this, so what you need to do is keep him in the room with you so you can keep and eye on him. When he gives his signals that he needs to go out, you need to go with him(!!!) - tell him "go pee", and give lots of praise whenever he goes. How else is he supposed to know he's done it right if he doesn't get praised for it. Then come right back in so he learns to differentiate play time in the yard with potty time.
He'll learn really quickly if you praise him for doing it right. (If he goes when you're not home, you have to crate train him.)

I would go back to teh crate training. only let him out when you can actully watch him. this doesnot mean if you are busy doing something and you can't catch him.
As soon as you catch him, put him outside. When he is good outside praise him.
yes you do need to be a little careful of the wheexing but if it were a child doing something wrong would you let it continue becase it wheezes.
Please don't think I'm being heartless for not saying let him wheeze. This breed does a lot of wheezing it's normal so don't worry about so much. you will probably never get him trained if you make excuss for him.
Good Luck

Your putting him outside during the day, and he's pooping. Thats good. but he's not understanding that poop happens outside. He's only pooping outside because thats where he is already.
Supervise your dog when outside. Praise him when he does his buiness outside. When he's inside take him outside (supervised) so he can do his buisness. Don't let him inside till that happens. Restrict his access to the house so that you have a closer eye on him incase he's looking like he needs to go out.

Never scold a dog for going in the house. You need to catch him while he is going and take him outside as quick as possible. After a dog goes inside and is scolded, the dog is confused and doesn't quite understand why he is being scolded. Which is why he probably hasn't learned yet. When we house trained our golden retriever (2yrs), we did not give him the opportunity to go inside without us seeing and we would immediately rush him outside when he tried. He learned fine. If you're gone during the day, I would consider crate training to prevent unecessary messes.

sorry to say but taht sounds like a training issue that is on you and not the dog. If you observe the dog's behavior prior to it's pooing in the house you may find that it WAS trying to let you know. Learn your dog's behavior and please do not spank it for something it cannot help doing. heck...it has to go somewhere and it needs to be watched and trained better.

Normally I would say put him next to the poop and but a box over the top of the both of them for 5 - 10 minutes but with the asthma issue, try using a laundry basket.
When he poops outside, immediately run up to him with a treat. Once he gets that he gets a reward for doing it you can replace the treat with telling me he's a good boy and petting him. Eventually, it will become habit.

never ever hit your dog. You don't do anything but clean it up.
Are you walking this dog at all? walking stimulates the bowels & while you can't walk this breed very far, even around the yard would help.
None of this is HIS fault - it is because you haven't done your job properly.
