I refuse to leave my small dog behind on a trip from PA to Florida for a month. I don't want to leave him boarded because he feels trapped. We are traveling by car and staying in a home in Florida. I want my little dog to have a positive experience but, I want my husband and I to enjoy ourselves also.

hi, I have seen a dog with white fur which resembles like a fox from a pet shop. It's super CUTE and I instantly fell in love with it. But too bad I couldn't remember the name of this type. It's something starts with a "P". Does anyone know? THanks.

Just want a few opinions on what kind of dog(s) you think this might be. This is our beautiful baby girl, Sheba. Let's see if we have any "experts" out there!!! ;-) Here's the link:

He is a good dog, he's not quite a year old. He plays well, don't jump on peope (most of the time) and is trained to go to his crate and do some simple tricks. BUT he has bitten my 4 year old daughter twice on the hand. Both times he was chewing on a toy or rawhide. I don't know if he don't trust her that close or what. And since it is her hand, we think she's putting it out there to him, petting or something. I don't really want to get rid of my dog. He's a boxer mix if that makes a difference and weighes around 45 pounds, I think.

when she's not on the lead, she's roaming around our house, or being taken for a walk. she goes really well if we just let her run, but this isn't feasible til late at nite, when we can stay out there w/her. she'll even go when she's on her leash, but if u put her on her yard lead, she'll come back inside n poop n pee in the house. how can i get her to go while she's on her yard lead? why won't she go while she's on it?

My husband and I rescued a wonderful, 1 year old Beagle from a shelter just 6 weeks ago. He is very loving to my husband and I (and also our Jack Russell) and has been from the very beginning. The problem is that he is deathly afraid of everyone else. Whenever someone comes over he barks, the hair on the back of his neck stands up, and 9 times out of 10 he will urinate. Sometimes he will even get used to a person, run up to them to be petted, and still urinate. I don't know what to do. He is not an agressive dog with me and my husband. We can pet him, pick him up; he loves car rides, and walks. He is great! His reaction towards other people is his only problem. It is obvious from his behavior it is 100% fear, not aggression. We are very concerned, as we would like to start a family in the next year or two, and would hate to have to find him another home. We thought our other dog would help him, as she loves everyone she meets. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what we can do? Please!

My dog sometimes is very mean and if you`re outside with her shes very nice. You see we have a hard time getting her to do things on command. ex: she lives outside and when we open the door to go outside she RUNS in and when we try to catch her and put her outside she growls at us and even bites us. she barks a lot. she scratches the door to go in and we have to yell at her to get her to shut up. And we did try having her live inside but she poops and pees everywhere. the little house breaking crud doesn`t work well it does but it stinks!

can you please tell me how? because my mom is thinking of selling her and i love her. :(

My dog was asleep on the couch, laying next to me. When she turned there was a HUGE wet spot, spanning her body underneath her. She was soaked!!!!
It wasn't urine, and that is unlike her anyway.
I don't think it was an anal gland, cause her behind was dry, and she's not a drooler!!
ANY IDEA???

Now that I bought a bag, I've noticed that my puppy's eyes are weeping all the time. Is this related to the new food? I am so mad after getting home and reading up on the ingredients, this food is full of fillers.

I work at a doggie daycare. The groomer bathes the dogs twice with dawn antibacteriel dish soap and then once with pet shamppo. Is this bad for the dogs?
