My family has a maltese-poodle mix dog who is such a smart and for the most part well-mannered dog. However, he's can get very emotionally stressed and agressive while were in the car with him. He barks, whines, scratchs, bites and runs all over the place when the car comes to a stop and when he knows a person is about to get out of the car. This is the only BIG problem we have with our dog, and it happens to be the only time he will get really agressive and attack you when you try to get out of the car. Any suggestions??

I have a maltese-poodle mix dog which I feed dry dog food to, in a bowl that sits in the kitchen. When he gets hungry he will go and grab a few pieces, carry them to the carpet and then roll over them and rub them into the carpet with his body several times. After that, then he'll eat them and repeat sometimes.
He's about 2 years old now and has been doing this awhile now, its really funny to watch but my family would also like to know why he may doing this.

My doggy is a diabetic and so he needs healthy treats to eat. So, we get him those baby carrots you find at the grocery stores.

The problem is we want to store them in bulk and find a way to reccesitate them. We tried freezing them and defrosting them but they came out too mushy. The dog rejected them and us humans didn't want anything to do with them.

We do want to limit our visits to the grocery store so what would you do if you were in our shoes?

I have had my male daschund for almost 3 yrs since he was a puppy, he has always been loving and playful. All the sudden for almost 1yr and 1/2 now he has been growling, he looks scared but for no reason, you can call him to you and he will start to growl with this leave me alone low growl no bark he will turn his head from you not towards if that makes a difference. I have a 1yr old daughter who loves to go up to him and say hi but he growls at her too. I am scared he is going to bite her, he has bitten my husband once. He does not liked to be moved from where he is either. I just do not want to get rid of him he is part of the family, I need some adice on how to stop all this growling. Thanks

About a month ago i noticed that my 5 month old teacup pomeranian's fur was starting to drastically thin out on both sides of his neck. At first I described it as he was balding but the closer I look, it is almost as if it has just thinned out... a lot... and like there is just very light (his overall coat is black) and fine, thin fur where there was once a thicker coat. I was thinking it may be from scratching since there seemed to be no signs of irritation, rashes or mites but now it seems as if these two thinning spots are creeping onto his back. I am also noticing that there seems to be a faint trail going down his back that looks as if that is beginning to thin out to and I know that he is not scratching (or not nearly enough) to cause this.
Is it possible that he is just shedding his puppy fur? I am not sure how that process goes. i have read elsewhere about hair coming out in clumps when this happens but I have not noticed any clumps falling out or anything of that sort.

when my boyfriend was little he told me how he used to have a golden retriever named Nikki & he said that she was an awesome dog he loved her so much but just about but 2 years ago a few months before he met me they had to put her to sleep because she was 17 years old and she had tumors..he said that golden retrievers are really good dogs & he may want to get another one.
My boyfriends birthday is Sept. 16 and he will be 18
though he'll still be living with his parents where he lives you can only have 2 pets and his parents own a dog and a cat already but i was thinking i could get him a golden retriever puppy anyway, but i'd keep it with me until he moves out of his parents house and gets his own place, the dog would be his but i'd care for it till he gets on his own feet, he'd be able to see it everyday to, my only problem is, i don't know how i'd be able to get one a few days before his birthday so i can have it & give it to him on his b~day, i'd surprise him,
he would be so happy!

I also would like to find a good shampoo that will help dry skin
if that is her problem. She was scratching alot before I used
a regular shampoo for dandruff. But it didn't help the hair issue.
