India Rupees? In Australia, it costs around $800 - $1000 (AUD) for a well-bred, sound, healthy Weimaraner puppy from a reputable breeder. That is around $28,000 - $35,000 India Rupees.

It looks like other are answering your question regarding initial cost. However, please keep in mind that the cost of getting a healthy, well-breed puppy is only a fraction of the cost of raising one. Really think about the cost of a good quality food, regular vet bills, preventive care (heart worm, tick & flea prevention, vacinations, etc), the cost of spaying or neutering then add in the cost of a few emergency visits for when the puppy eats something s/he shouldn't have, seems inactive or is accidently stepped on.

Now think about the cost related to a puppy that is not so well - breed or healthy... add in hip or eye surgery and lifelong medications.

I don't mean this to be a downer or to tell you not to go forward. I have a Weimaraner that is about 10 years old and he is worth every penny (or Rupee). But I get concerned when people worry about the cost of getting a pet, because what ever the cost is... it is a very small part of the total cost of pet ownership.

Good luck!
