LOL! Set the lawn sprinklers to go off as soon as he starts!
As far as I know that is really all there is. Myself I'd go to the owners and tell them the situation and ask for their help in keeping him off your lawn.

I would mix up some really stinky stuff (non toxic of course!) and put it into a spray bottle and spray it all over. I think dogs don't like vinegar and chili pepper or black pepper. Something spicy would probably work. Also talk politely to the neighbor about it and tell them to please stop allowing their dog to use your yard as a toliet, and then find out from the city hall what the law states about this problem. There must be a law against dog waste in your area. Good luck!

I would tell the neighbor to clean it up or put the dog on a line so it can't get onto your property. You shouldn't have to go through all this trouble to stop it from pooping on your lawn, it is their dog...they need to take care of it.

...go ask your neighbor if he'd mind you going to the bathroom in 'his' living room! Unless your neighbor will refrain his dog, then there isn't a lot you can do. Call the animal control on him. Gather all the poop and throw it on your neighbors porch. Just be darn sure (with photos) that you have the right neighbor and the right dog! LOL. :)

A mixture of something pungent or spicy (vinegar, chili, stuff like that) combined with water and sprayed around the perimeter of your yard should deter dogs, as they rely highly on their sense of smell, so pepper or other stuff could mess with their noses.
Alternatively, there are some companies out there that produce skunk musk or big cat odors. These could also work as a deterrence.

I don't remember the name of the product (Pet Stop I think) can be purchased at Lowes/Home Depot. Sprinkle on lawn/ near flowers to keep out cats/dogs and other "pests". Can be found in lawn/garden dept.

Good neighbors don't let their dogs crap all over the neighborhood. That is just plain rude to let a dog go crap in a next door neighbor's yard. They need to let it crap in their own yard. Try to ask them in a really nice kind of way.....if that doesn't work scoop it up and at night fling it back over there where it belongs. *smirk*

Find a hunting supplies catalog and order two things: Wind inflatable geese that you set up in the yard (they look real and they move like real geese in the wind) and wild animal scent, like wolf or lion, to put on the bushes. Dogs don't usually like geese or wild animal scents.
Good luck..and don't spill the scents!
