when she's not on the lead, she's roaming around our house, or being taken for a walk. she goes really well if we just let her run, but this isn't feasible til late at nite, when we can stay out there w/her. she'll even go when she's on her leash, but if u put her on her yard lead, she'll come back inside n poop n pee in the house. how can i get her to go while she's on her yard lead? why won't she go while she's on it?

Cause it's not natural to pee while someone is standing within 5 feet of you. When she is going when she is off her leash, tell her GOOD GIRL PEEPEE or POOPOO and so she knows what she is doing. SO when you have to have her on her lead, you can say Go Peepee or Poopoo and she'll know what you're talking about.
Get a longer lead, 20 ' would work well, so that she can get farther away from you. She associates the lead with walks, so she figures she should be walking. Allow her to get farther away from her and tell her what she should be doing and remember to praise her when she has to go. If she still refuses, then give her a big drink and stay out there until she has no choice but to go, so you have ample opportunity to praise her for doing good.

It's tough getting a dog to sit on a plastic potty, I'm not surprised you're having problems. Okay, stay with her, keep her out there until she eliminates, then praise her and give her a treat. She'll soon get the message!
