Peanuts are fine, they are kind of fatty, though, so you should only feed tiny amounts when treating...but grapes have natural properties that cause liver failure, and these chemicals stay in the dog, so liver problems could appear later in life, too.

The skins of grapes have a substance in them that causes kidney damage to dogs over time, so grapes and raisins are indeed bad for dogs. Peanuts are high in fat, and cause a lot of bowel irritation as they pass through because dogs don't chew them well, not toxic but they can cause some bad upset stomach, diarrhea, and rarely pancreatitis

Peanuts are NOT fine, you should NEVER give a dog nuts of any kind whatsoever, as the high phosphorus content can cause bladder stones. Ask any vet.

Grapes and raisins can be toxic to dogs in large quantities. The symptoms are gastrointestinal signs including vomiting and diarrhea, and then signs of kidney failure with an onset of severe kidney signs starting about 24 hours after ingestion. The amount of grapes eaten varied between 9 oz. and 2 lbs., which worked out to be between 0.41 and 1.1 oz/kg of body weight. It has been reported that two dogs died directly from the toxicity, three were euthanized due to poor response to treatment and five dogs lived.

Due to the severity of the signs and the potential for death, the veterinarians at the National Animal Poison Control Center (NAPCC) advocate aggressive treatment for any dog believed to have ingested excessive amounts of grapes or raisins, including inducing vomiting, stomach pumping and administration of activated charcoal, followed by intravenous fluid therapy for at least 48 hours or as indicated based on the results of blood tests for kidney damage.

Peanuts are ok...dogs get peanut butter all the time. Grapes, raisins, onions, chocolate, not good. I believe it is something in the skin of the grapes that are toxic.

yes and no because peanuts make people skinner and i don't know what they do to dogs but with my guess they probably make them fatter than they are already. And grapes are also bad for dogs to eat because they have a mineral in them that dogs shouldn't have and if they have to many of them they will also get fat like the peanuts and by the way can you make me your best answer please

I don't think peanut butter is bad for dogs. But I think that grapes and peanuts may be hazards for the dogs because they might choke on them, especially grapes. that is because of the shape and size, they can easily lodge in their throat.

I don't know about peanuts, but grapes and raisin are common allergens for dogs. Some dogs can tolerate them, but many can't. Why take the chance, huh?

They make a toxin that dogs can't expel from their systems. It attacks the kidneys and shuts them down. As little as 6 grapes can cause kidney failure and can result in death to your dog.
some nuts are bad for your dog Black Walnuts are not good neither are macadamia nuts. The oil in the nuts are the toxin.

As the owner of four dogs, you are correct in what you read. They are toxic to dogs and they cause liver failure. Chocolate, (especially bakers chocolate) is also toxic for them. Just feed them dog food (none that is on the recall list) and you will be fine. Don't ever feed your dog human food, they then try to act like a human and they sleep on your bed with you. My four dogs still sleep on my bed!
