hi, I have seen a dog with white fur which resembles like a fox from a pet shop. It's super CUTE and I instantly fell in love with it. But too bad I couldn't remember the name of this type. It's something starts with a "P". Does anyone know? THanks.

***Pomeranian***

I've seen some that resemble a fox, but their not really suppose to look that way. Its actually not very well bred varieties that look that way, so you would want pet quality. IF that is what your talkng about.

This link shows a nice quality one:http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/download/227/pomeranian.jpg

Although everyone has answered with pomeranian, I saw a dog that so closely resembled a fox that I wanted to take it home immediately! It was a Pappilion though, not a Pom....

But not all Papps look like foxes, but the one I saw at the pet store did %100!

Well, it doesn't start with a P, but a Welsh Corgi resembles a fox. If you have Googled it and you know that that isn't what you're looking for, I have a Collie and that may be it? I think they are very cute and make great house pets. It might not be what you were looking for, but consider it an alternative? Thanks!

The name of the dog is a Pomeranian. I have one. I have a black female. She is so sweet. They are very loyal dogs. They think they can take on any dog that comes around. Keep barking under control from day one.

The name is Pomeranian I have three of them two who are two years old and one who is seven. Here is some history about themThe Pomeranian is believed to have descended from wolf-spitz type dogs which at some early period migrated to Pomerania from the north of Russia and Siberia.Sharing the same ancestors with the other arctic breeds such as the Samoyed and Keeshond. These early spitz type dogs were used to work as guard and sledge animals, however the smallest were kept as companions. At this stage of development, the breed weighed 30 lbs and were colored white, black or cream.
Pomeranians were established as a breed in the eighteenth century after they drew the interest of the English monarchy.
Upon her marriage to King George 111, Queen Charlotte brought large white Pomeranians to England in 1761.However it was not until Queen Victoria's reign that the Pomeranian became one of the most popular toy breeds. The 9 to 13.6 kg. dogs of Queen Charlotte's time now weighed 5.5.kg.Queen Victoria further improved the breed after she imported smaller Pomeranians of different colors from various European countries.many famous people have fallen under the spell of this delightful little dog, including Mozart and more recently we have seen Fran Drescher's Pomeranian "Chester" making an appearance in "The Nanny".

GENERAL APPEARANCE-The Pomeranian is a small ,compact ,dainty dog .He displays great glamour with his crowning glory- a dense ,double coat ,made up of long, harsh, standoff guard hairs and a soft woolly undercoat.
His tail is carried straight over his back ,not curled, but should lie flat. Having a tail that lies flat on the back is a characteristic of this breed that sets it apart from the other spitz breeds. The tail has a profuse plume reaching to the back of the head. This plume of long glistening hair helps to give the illusion of a circle. The head with a short fine muzzle, medium sized almond shaped eyes, the tiniest of pricked ears and an intelligent sweet expression add to the breed's appeal. He has a short coupled solid body, fine bone, short neck, neat cat-like feet. The Pomeranian should move soundly with plenty of style.
The Pomeranian comes in a variety of colours- colours include Orange, Orange Sable ,Cream ,Black, Wolf Sable, Chocolate,Beaver,White,Blue,Merle,Black & Tan and Parti color

Size –Dogs 1.8. kg to 2 kg. Bitches 2kg. to 2.5. kg.
The Pomeranian ranges in height from about Height: 8 - 11" (20.3 - 27.9cm)

The breed standard deviates from most others by requiring the female to be slightly larger than the male. There are no such things as miniature, toy or tea cup Pomeranians. A reputable, registered breeder does not describe their puppy’s by these terms.

AVERAGE LIFE SPAN- The average Pomeranian lifespan is about 12 years, but it is not unusual for some Pomeranians to live a happy life well into their middle teens.I have found that keeping your Pomeranian trim and active will help prevent many health problems and enable your Pomeranian to lead a happy life into the mid teens.Desexing reduces the risk of many cancers, so it is a good idea to have this done close to puberty.
Temperament -The Pomeranian is a delightful family member, extrovert, lively and very , very intelligent .

Owing to the diminutive size and high energy level the Pomeranian is not recommended for families with young children.Pomeranians are suitable for flat dwellers who are prepared to exercise their dog on a regular basis and also make loyal and intelligent companions for the elderly.

It probably was a Pomeranian. They look a bit like foxes, but if you can find one with the tail still, in my opinion schipperke's look more like foxes. I probably spelled that wrong, sorry.
It also might have been a Papillon.
