I have a 16 week old Yorkie, I took him to the vet for his check-up and vaccinations, 2 days later he threw up, he's not eating or drinking, hasn't had a bowel movement during this time, peeing alot less than normal, he's very lethargic and occasionally trembles. Is he having a reaction to the shots he recieved or is something else going on? The vet just gave him a clean bill of health 2 days ago, now it's the weekend and I can't get in touch with a vet to talk to him about it. PLEASE HELP!

My 5 yr old cocker spaniel has this skin problem that comes and goes. I have not changed food or shampoo. She breaks out it seems like for no reason. Any body have any ideas for a home remedie? I take her to get cortizone shots at the vet but if there is something natural I would rather do that.

One of my dogs Bailey don't fetch. When I throw a ball he'll chase after it alright but he doesn't return it to you. Also my other dog Zack fetches but he does it whenever he feels like. What do I do?

My Husband and I would really like to get a dog, but we are also not avoiding the baby issue. So if we end up getting a puppy first, will he be jealous of the new "baby" when one arrives? Is there really a good chain of events?

looks like his mouth is shivering, old dog syndrome? - suddenly happening more often. this dog is the the ultimate best - anything I can do help him? Is this a sign that I don't have much longer with him. Have had to help him onto furniture for several years now.

I'm taking a three hour drive into the lovely state of PA Monday in hopes of buying a pug puppy. I have very little experiance in buying from a breeder. What should I look for? What indicates a bad breeder and a great one? All I know at the moment is the pups are AKC registered, have their first shots, and are wormed. I'm paying the low price of $425 for a pure bred, so you can imagine why I think there might be something fishy about the breeder. Any advice?

Please don't tell me to adopt, I've attempted adopting several times before I decided just to get a puppy. Unfortuantly the adoption process can turn out to be very disappointing when 4 people want the same dog.

I have 2 cats.

one 3 year old male and
one 2 year old female.

they seem like best friends, they play, eat put of the same bowl at the same time, sleep together.

but every sunday i have to put them each in a crate, because we have to show our house.

and as soon as i put the one cat in with the other, they act like they'vr never seen eachother before and they begin to bite eachother, hiss and fight.

i don't get it.
why are they fine until they have to go in a big crate together?

I live in a crappy subdivision where a lot of people are possessive (of their stuff) and mean. I went skating with my dog today. He's a husky/chow mix but looks and acts just like a husky...
Anyway, he was all worn out and we were going up the block and I hear this car coming, so like always, I pull off to the side. We were going very slow b/c Steele was tired and just wanted to walk. So, I get off to the side by the curb, and pull Steele closer to me. I was in the lane where the cars come from behind me, although normally, I stay in the opposite lane. So this stupid person didn't even slow down, and passes RIGHT next to me. It was a blue minivan, I think. They passed so close that if Steele wouldn't have jumped out of the way behind me, they would have hit him. -_- I could have put my hand out 3 inches, and I would have touched the car. That's how close they were. Some people around here /try/ to run over dogs. It happened the other day, and they were laughing that they hit it.

He's not going to be neutered. Could you you please give me details? I want him to pee on the pads in the bathroom not outside.

my dog, amelia, is 5 years old.

she licks conslantly!
and it annoys people who come over, and they push her away, and it makes me feel bad for her.

but it is really annoying how she'll soak your hand while she's laying by you or while your petting her.

and suggestion?

My dog is a maltese-pomeranian and she weighs about 14 pounds. She seems fine now and she even started to eat, but should I be worried about "after" effects?
