my dog, amelia, is 5 years old.
she licks conslantly!
and it annoys people who come over, and they push her away, and it makes me feel bad for her.
but it is really annoying how she'll soak your hand while she's laying by you or while your petting her.
and suggestion?

Just be firm and repeat "no lick" and withdraw your hand. It might take a few times, but this worked with mine. But be sure to love and give them praise and play with them often. Good Luck.

Grab hold of that licking toungue and hold on for a few seconds. Keep doing this and soon she will stop. You have to be consistent.
You could also apply chili powder on a place she normally licks and she will associate the burning to the licking.
I'm kinda weird, I guess, a friends dogs loves to lick like that and I like to let her wash my feet. That toungue just weaving in and out between my toes. It worries my friend and I have told her what to do but as of yet she hasn't been working on it.
With this and any other training you HAVE TO BE CONSISTANT.

What I have done is I put rubbing alcohal on my hand before I pet them because it won't harm them but they don't like the taste. After they learn that they will get that taste when they lick your hand they should stop.

Ya, when your dog licks you you could try ignoring her, because she's probably just trying to get attention so I you don't give her any she should stop. Hope this helps!

The dog is just a happy dog that want's more friends. Try telling her no...! And she if she stops..

put some kind of lotion or soap on your hands (rinse the soap off) maybe she wont like the taste and stop

Absolutely best way is to buy squirt guns and squirt her in the eyes when she licks. You can buy squirt guns cheap on ebay

she wants attention. if it bugs you a lot, when she licks you tell her to stop until she does.
