When my husband and I were out in the front yard I always took my puppy with me. I put her on a long rope..tied to me. that way if we were working in the yard she would always be with me ..your puppy just see you out there and wants to be out there with you. Why not let the puppy be with you. What harm would it do.

Try crate training. Your puppy may have seperation anxiety. This can sometimes be helped with a puppy training class, most puppy stores will tell you how to do so, Petsmart has a highly recommended one. If it really is seperation anxiety, and not just unsupervised puppy crazy-ness, then your best bet would be to crate train him, and then make sure you give him a bone, or toy in his crate whenever he is in it.

I suggest you crate train your puppy. Teach him to eat his meals in his crate and it will become is his safe-place where he can nap, play with his toys, and wait patiently until you come back into the house. Teach him in little steps. If he cries don't worry just be more stubborn than he is. He'll soon get the point and your house won't get torn up.

If you can I would take him out with you, if not then I would put him in a crate until you come back in, with his favorite toy Ionly wished that Iwould of done this sooner as my dog was also destructive when she was a pup good luck

Bring it inside and calm it down. By scratching behind his ears and talking to it softly. And maybe put some soft music in the background.
