I live in a crappy subdivision where a lot of people are possessive (of their stuff) and mean. I went skating with my dog today. He's a husky/chow mix but looks and acts just like a husky...
Anyway, he was all worn out and we were going up the block and I hear this car coming, so like always, I pull off to the side. We were going very slow b/c Steele was tired and just wanted to walk. So, I get off to the side by the curb, and pull Steele closer to me. I was in the lane where the cars come from behind me, although normally, I stay in the opposite lane. So this stupid person didn't even slow down, and passes RIGHT next to me. It was a blue minivan, I think. They passed so close that if Steele wouldn't have jumped out of the way behind me, they would have hit him. -_- I could have put my hand out 3 inches, and I would have touched the car. That's how close they were. Some people around here /try/ to run over dogs. It happened the other day, and they were laughing that they hit it.

It was a chihuahua, and now she's dead. =( The people who owned her are no better, either. They just got 2 beagle pups and also have a bunch of other dogs they don't take care of. And they fight pitbulss. Most people aroud here do. And most people around here have pits. I've seen them fight them. And they told me they do. I'm getting sick of living here. I'm 15, and mum is going to online college so she can get a better paying job and move.

On the up side, what goes around comes around. I totally believe that! xD My bro said that when he came home yesterday and was about to turn into the drive, there was this little boy on a bike with a dog on a leash. Well, the dog didn't want to pull him, so he hit the dog a few times. (These people are so mean!) So, when he hit the dog, he dropped the leash, and the dog took off. Well, when the dog took off, the leash caught ahold of the bike pedal, and the dog flipped the bike right out from underneath the boy! xDDDD So, the boy fell on his butt and started chasing the dog, who was still dragging the bike. xD I feel sorry for the dog, though. =( He probably beat the crap out of it when he caught it. =(

Grannydebbie,... Wow, that's just really low, and surprising what people do... I'm sorry that your husband has to deal with these kind of people...

Oh, and my mum has called the police before and they said they'll patrol down here at night and watch out for these people who fight their dogs. But, pftt, I don't even think they do that. I think mum also called the SPCA or something and they said they couldn't do anything. -_- It's hard to bust 'em since we don't have any obvious proof that they fight their dogs or abuse them. Heck, they had a bunch of dogs taken away from them not long ago! But they just keep getting more. -_-

Some people are just plain stupid and/or ignorant, my husband is handicapped, and when he rides his bike, people go out of their way to be mean and cruel to him.

Once, when he was riding his bike, this car came so close to him that someone reached out and stole his wallet! They could have just as easily made him lose his balance and fall off his bike.

People also yell at him if he is just walking down the street, he just chalks it up to them being stupid. People even curse at him and make fun of him, even in our own yard!

As for people being cruel to animals, you could report them to your local SPCA (Special Prevention for Cruelty to Animals) it may be worded differently for where you live.

I live in KS, and they have recently added special circumstances to where a person can go to jail for cruelty to animals. We have had some really abusive cases in the past year that have caused these changes, and I don't believe they are any harsher than what these people have been doing to helpless animals.

Hate is a human situation. Not a vegetarian one. There is hate among Republicans and Democrats, Christians and Muslims, blacks and whites, meat eaters and vegetarians, vegans and vegetarians, drivers and pedestrians. Does that imply that each one of the ones corporations hate each and every different? Certainly no longer. But there'll regularly be humans on any facet of any argument or perception procedure who're going to take it too a ways or who effortlessly wish to decide on a battle. You will regularly have an extremist and an absolutist. These don't seem to be characteristics that exist most effective amongst vegans and vegetarians. You are proper, nobody is best. Maybe we will have to awareness on hate as a entire hindrance rather of deciding on aside the diversities.

All you can do is keep yourself and your dog safe. At least you can find some comfort in knowing that you're dog is very loved and cared for. Keep your dog away from the street. Keep your dog away from people you don't know to be nice and safe.

Also, all else, know that you have the power to live in a nice, safe area when you get older if you choose. Spend some time thinking about what you'd like to do to make decent money when you become an adult.

People are mean becuase they had bad life's so they take it out on people that they don"t know.I enjoyed your story it is long but worth it.People like the ones in your story need to hear how mean it is to do that kind of stuff.I remember when my dog got hit i cried SO SO long. But back to your question there mad because people even the slightest bit happy make them jelly but thats no reason to be all mean and hateful.I do have to say this( seven tho its off the subject) you write a lot most of the time and I find myself drown to it .You should become a write. And( off the subject again)I think your dogs sound so cute I read you previous questions and they are interesting to.I'm a fan of your question.=)Just be a little more positive next time.*<=)

Some people are really mean and hateful because-
1) they are insecure
2)they think its funny to cause others harm
3)no one ever told them right from wrong or someone told them and it went in one ear and out the other

my advice is just to keep a very close eye on your dog. Dont let anyone you dont know come to pet it or anything. And expecially dont let anyone you dont know feed it. And try not to keep it outside without anyone watching it. Good luck and stay safe.
