looks like his mouth is shivering, old dog syndrome? - suddenly happening more often. this dog is the the ultimate best - anything I can do help him? Is this a sign that I don't have much longer with him. Have had to help him onto furniture for several years now.

Please just take him to the vet, and don't listen to the random diagnoses of people on this board - vets know what they're talking about.

Hope doggy continues to be the ultimate best for a while longer!

Don't know but our 14 year old spaniel has been being helped on the bed and couch for a year or so to now. Best wishes.

Your best bet is to take him into the vet, just to be on the safe side. But not to sound rude, this could mean the little guy is getting older... just help him out around the house ,but your best bet is to take him into the vet, Good luck

we have a 5lb poodle that is 11years old and she started with the mouth quivering this year too. my dad is her vet and he says she checks out fine when examined other than the usual old age stuff...we've chalked it up to age too as we can't see anything wrong with her jaw, teeth etc. since spring is the time for heartworm tests etc be sure to discuss this new concern when you take him in.
