I have a 3 year old yellow lab which we adopted from the spca. She has always been very submissive and a wonderful family member. About a month ago, we picked up a black lab pup, and although he is very clever and seems to learn quick, I am having problems with him biting my older dog too hard on the ears and the neck, to the point where her ears are hurting her and there is bleeding. She does not yelp to let him know that he is hurting her, but she will pin him when we are outside. I understand that dog play may seem violent, but when they are together outside, his hackles will go up when she puts him in his place, he will snap at her face, and yet she goes back for more. they never really lie with each other due to the pups constant bugging of her. I quess I am wondering what I can do to ensure that there will be a happy home for these two, and make sure he doesnt hurt her ears anymore.

I dont want to touch the dog cuz it is very stinky. Its stuck on the rope thingy you walk it with and the collor wont come off.I dont want to put it outside cuz its little and its cold out.But I feel bad that the collor is stuck so it can only move about 3 feet.Pluss I hate dogs and dont want to touch it.(Yes The owner knows I hate dogs I told her and dont worry i will never dog sit again its gross)

Should I ask them to replace it, or should I try to take them to civil court? I don't want the money I want a puppy. Nothing will replace my puppy, Scrappy.

My little girl's name is Foxy Roxy. She is two years old and weighs about 45 pounds. Roxy has long ears and long tail. Her coat is Brindle with white on her chest. She thinks she is a lap dog and never meets a stranger. Roxy is full of love and loves to give love back. I am heartbroken about this decision but I am not able to have her because of where I am moving to. All apartment communities have adopted this policy on Aggressive Breed Dogs. They will not allow you to have a Chow, Doberman, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, and a few others I do not recall. This upsets me a great deal because it is not the BREED, it is the Deed! I am a very proud and loving pet owner.
Anyhow, I need to find a loving home for Roxy to be apart of until I can buy a house. Roxy loves to play, ride in the car, wear her pretty pink shirt and be loved on. She is great with all people and other dogs.
Please let me know if you can help me.

I got a puppy from a store that I will not mention. The point is, they said they didn't have the papers there at time of purchase. We were told we would have the papers in a couple of weeks. This was in December. A few days ago I called and was told to call back. They said that the owner had a stack of papers dating back to November. I called the next day and some guy said that the girl was out to lunch and to call back later. I decided to call the next day to give them time to find the papers. Well, the same day, they called my husband and apologized profusely that they had the papers all along. My husband said he would pick up the papers soon. The person on the other line said sure, no problem. I went two days later and the place was shut down. No forwarding phone or address. So here I am. Expensive pup without papers. I have managed to find the number of the owner and after several calls and messages, no one has called back. What should I do? Any help would be great. Sorry so long.

i recently rehomed my lovely affectionate german shepherd because i wanted him to live in the country and have a better quality of life rather than town. the animals in need vetted a couple in oxfordshire that seemed perfect but they only had him 10 hours and had him put to sleep even though he was not aggressive and never bit anyone. they promised to return him if he didnt settle but they took it in their own hands to destroy him. i had not yet signed the papers.

what can i do to help the poor animal, he seems like not having problems for breathing, he is always coughing badly, it's like a gag, sounds like he is congested. like when you have a flu. the dog is 10 years old, the vet said that its normal for that type of dog and it's due to his age.

I know there must be something to get the dogs health get back on track.

Is it safe to give your dog over the counter medicines, like Robitussin?

Hello there I have a Male Lhaso Apso dog of two years , not being either crude or vulgar I wish to ask this my friend who also has the same breed says that they have a gland near the rectum which periodically needs squeezing to release fluid build up is she correct in this and does a vet need to do the treatment or can you direct me to a website where I can read about this im a qualified nurse and possibly could do it myself if advised as to whether this is a true fact or not??.

My one year old female westie who is spayed piddles(pees) on the floor when anyone new comes in the door. She is otherwise housebroken and very smart. I have tried letting her outside before company comes but she gets so excited she seems like she cannot help it. I can tell she feels bad but just cannot hold it...I let her outside very frequently. Is this behavior? Is ther anything else I can do? More training? Does it go away?

I am getting a bichon frise puppy next week (if everything works out). She will be 9 weeks old. The breeder says she comes up to date with shots and dewormed. This is my own first puppy. We have a boxer in the home (my roommates) and when he first came he still needed several shots. If the breeder says she is up to date when will she need her next shots and vet visit. Also for the bichon owners, this puppy has brown on her ears...will this grow out? I am not looking to show her but I just want to have a perfect little bichon :). Any other advice you may offer is welcomed, this is my first time! i.e. pet food brand that works well for this breed!

THANKS!
