How can I teach my Boxer to catch a frisbee?

This is what I used to teach my Dachshund, hope this works!

First, you get your Boxer into a really playful mood. Then, you take the Frisbee (or you can start with a tennis ball) and throw it above the dogs head, so that if he doesn't catch it it hits him in the head. Make sure that when you throw it you say "catch!"

If he doesn't catch it, take it away and try to throw it again, don't let him play with it. If he DOES catch it, then play with him and give him lots of praise. Play tug-of-war, chase around, or whatever you two like to do together. Make sure you give him lots of praise, and say "good catch!"

As you practice with this, try going longer distances to see if he will catch them, all the while saying "good catch!"

If your dog loses interest, don't give up hope! Just try again another time when he is hyper and wants to play.

My dog learned how to do this in 10 minutes, and he is getting better every time we practice!

try to get him interested in the frisbee to start. wave it around, play a little keep away, make it look fun. play a little tug with it to get him interested in biting it. once he is interested in it and willing to bite it, try tossing it to him from very close (like a foot away) and see if he makes an attempt to catch it. if he does, then move a few more feet back, etc. some dogs just won't bother with catching a frisbee, but he might get into it.
