Me and my partner are planning to get a Pug and Shar-pei maybe in 1-2 years time...but we want to be sure if these two breeds would get along with eachother...and i was wondering if theres a site with specialise in how to look after these breeds...Thanks x x

Hi,
I have a 10 week old lab puppy who is not eating properly as of late he was eating pedigree and all of a sudden stopped eating it so i got another flavour which he liked and now he has stopped that as well.

As a test i mixed pedigree dry food with a bit of wet food (can) and he loved it.

Can you let me know if you've come across something similer.

Btw if i take the food to my hand and offer him he will eat it very happily. But i haven't given the fellow a chance to get used to it.

how long is she ok in there.? I am sleeping 13 or more hrs with the meds I'm on. Ive been sick a week. Everytime I get up I hold her\; play with her feed her and give her new toys. Is she better off here with me or should I try to get someone to take her to kennel where she will have more attention, she is happy to see me jumps up and down and doesnt seem depressed . do u think she knows im sick?

why can the humane society advertise as a no kill? in hernando county fla when they have to many animals they send them to a do kill shelter. so they dont kill they let someone else.....same thing right?

I bought a 3months old puppy last week, the pet shop fed him with royal canin. I heard that Canidae All-stage is a better quality pet food so I started to mix 3/4 of royal canin with 1/4 of canidae. But my puppy always left the canidae in the bowl and won't eat it. What's the problem?

My roommate claims to be able to tell the difference in the scents of our dogs farts. She says she can't tell the difference in two of them and they eat diffrent foods. Does anyone believe this?

What is the best way to put/place water for dogs. My dog is a Golden Retriever (11 months). Whenever I put water on a plastic bowl, he starts biting and cutting it. Im using a big metal dog food bowl for his water... I don't think it's aproppriate because it's kind of small.. What should I do? If you have an example of something metal and big and made for water can you please tell me about it or give me a link?

Any suggestions for putting weight on a very old dog? He eats but he looks terribly skinny and he shivers when he's outside even when it isn't all that cold. Our vet advised us that the dog has lived well beyond his normal lifespan and trying to run a lot of tests and treatments on him is not in his best interest. He still gets around ok (although slowly), wags his tail and is happy to see us but he is so thin. He has always been a large and robust dog and it's really hard to see him this way. Up until the past few months we marveled at his good health for his age, but he is going downhill quickly. Any suggestions to put some weight on him or to help make the most of his remaining time with us would be appreciated.

I took my dog to the vet recently. She had a really bad rash on her head and joints and a bit on her stomach. He gave me some meds and said to wait a few weeks. Her head is a lot better but joints are getting worse... she is chewing all the hair off. Has anyone had a dog that has done this? What was it? The vet didn't tell me too much about what it could be. Any tips to make me feel better or help the pup would be appreciated. I am taking her back to the vet in a week but some peace of mind that she will get better will help. Thanks.

That I should get a small female dog now because I own a larger male already?

I have read some places, that this would work out best, and its the male's instinct to protect that smaller female.

It seems our almost 6 month (soon to be neutered) male gets along MUCH better with male dogs. Everytime I have had a female foster puppy, they fight...more, and my male picks on the females way more also.
Any advice?
I just want what's best for my male puppy also.
