These are the sites for the UK Pug club & Shar Pei Club. Get in touch with them, get to know some of the breeders & learn as much about the breed beforehand & find a breeder you like.

Do not buy 2 puppies together, leave at least a year, preferably 18mths between the 2 puppies so you have time to train them both seperately. Buying 2 puppies together may seem a nice idea but in practice it is nearly impossible to train 2 puppies together, they wiill be more interested in each other than in you. If you buy one of each sex, you'll need to get at least one of them neutered but you have more chance of them getting along together.

They should be able to get along, if you get the Pug well ahead of the Shar pei. Shar peis don't always get along with other dogs, but if the pug is first, the Shar will likely accept him.. I would choose a male pug, and a female Shar pei, having both neutered, of course..

I breed and own the chinese shar-pei they are wonderful dogs and get along well with other dogs we also own a tiny chinese crested and they sleep with her.but again its best to probally get the pug first as the pei pup will except it very easily. we got our chinese crested when our dogs were about 2yrs old they didnt mind at all and imediatly excepted her, but it depends on the dog and how well it is socialized with other dogs or various sizes. one of our pups went to live with a good friend of mine who owns a little pug and they get along great. a pei is pretty easy to look after as long as you buy from a reputable breeder . none of our peis have had any health issues (allergies ,swollen hock etc) in fact out of all our litters we have only had to eye tack 3pups. pugs also have health concerns so make sure both dogs come from extremly good breeder (do alot of research and meet breeders) also when buying the pups make sure the breeder has a health contract to ensure they are covered for any genetic problems. good luck in your search and great choices!!!!!!!
