My 13 week old puppy goes potty outside when I take him.
He hadn't had any accidents in a long time as I always make sure to watch him. I put him on this bed that he loves.
Well this past weekend he pooped on the bed twice without many signs of needing to go and peed. Normally he whines or does something to tell me he has to go? But no sound at all.

The second time he pooped on his bed I caught him in the act and scolded him. But even after that - he pee'd later.

Does that mean his training is not going well and are those accidents going to be a result in training going backwards!

I also decided to pet him and give him kisses when we are outside in hopes that it will encourage him to just do it outside not inside. Will that help?

Does it mean anything, why do dogs get them?

We have a 1 1/2 year old female boxer who was house trained up until recently. 2 months ago we brought home our newborn son (first child)- the dog adores the baby but is obviously not getting as much attention as she was before. She has begun to pee/poop on our carpet, regardless of how many extra walks I take her on. How do I break her of this new behavior?
Also, any tips for cleaning the carpet to get rid of the smell- I currently use Resolve carpet cleaner and vacuum with a Pet Odor eliminating powder, but she always seems to pee/poop in the same spots so I am thinking I have not eliminated the smell completely.
One more thing: ever since bringing the baby home the dog has begun to shred anything and everything in her path: opening the kitchen garbage, tearing books over the bookshelf, eating candles.... stuff she hasn't done done in over a year. Any advice on this one?
We are frustrated because our families keeping saying to just get rid of her- not an option!
Please help!

We will be having her receive shots at the vet every twelve hours and she is also receiving Tamiflu every twelve hours as well. She will be home during the day since there is no way we can afford 24 care for her, I work nights, so I will be home during the day except for when i have class. At night from 5 to 5 she will be at the vet on an IV.

We took her to the Animal ER and found out she had Parvo, just got her from the pound a little over a week ago and she received her first round of puppy shots the same day, but not from the pound.

She had not had diarrhea until this morning, no vomitting yet, just unsuccessful attempts at it once last night, she is very lethargic.

While at the vet she tested a weak positive for parvo.

Can I hope to expect a quicker recovery since we caught it early, or does it matter?

I have two other dogs, both over a year old and have had their three rounds of puppy shots, besides rabies what else should they receive shots for annually?

A new trash can is not an option....our kitchen is small and we had a heck of a time finding a can to fit in the tiny slot that we have. Also...she's not ripping it apart like to get attention when we leave or anything, she's simply sticking her snout in there and eating whatever looks good.

My German Shepherd went in season almost six weeks ago. I let her past because she is still pretty young and I won't breed her until she is about 2 years old and becomes more mature. However she is still swollen. Does it take that long before the swelling goes down completely. I am started to get worried hoping she does'nt have an infection.

we are picking up our little girl chocolate lab on April 13th, we are getting her from another state and I will be flying in to pick her up. It is ok for her to fly back that night with me right? And since she will be so small I should be able to bring her right on the plane with me as a carry on in a small crate or something. I was wonderding if anyone else has done this and if so what they used to transport the puppy and what to do if she goes potty on the plane. I was planning on just bring some bags and wet wipes or something, haha, just to be safe

Also, any cute names for her? Not cocoa or brownie, but I wouldnt mind something relating to brown or chocolate, just more original, havnt thought of anything good yet. Thanks!!

I have a 4 year old corgi/basset hound mix. I recently got married and moved out of my mom's house, but my dog stayed. After I moved, her behavior changed. She was still eating, but not a lot. I brought her to the vet and he said that she probably just missed me, but he did a lot of blood work and x-rays and checked her out from head to toe. She was slightly dehydrated so he gave her some IV fluids. Other than that, she was fine. I brought her home with me and my husband, and since then she's still just picking at her food. I mean, she'll eat a few pieces of food a day. She is pooping once a day and urinating but she needs to eat more than she's eating. I've tried EVERYTHING. The only thing that she'll eat is meat that we cook for her. Does anybody have any suggestions? She's losing weight and I need to get her to eat. Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Omg! I hope he is gonna be ok. He had to have at least 12 or 13 of them. I don't know what to do I am leaving for work in a little bit. Will he be fine? Is there something I can do so he doesn't get really sick. I heard that chocolate can harm dogs.

I am looking to get a dog but don't know which would be best suited to me.....Both me and my partner work all day so it can't be one that will get too aggitated being home alone. We would prefer a medium size dog with short hair (we don't want hair everywhere). Any recomendations greatly appreciated.

I had bought my honey when she was 2 months from a pet shop. All the 18 years she was with us, we kept her as our daughter, her own toys, her own bed linnen, etc.she slept bet me and my hubby. all her life we never ever had to raise our hands on her. Last year she had an attack and she lost the use of all her four legs. The whole year she was at our mercy for all her needs. We did our best to do everything possible to keep her happy, dry, and clean. Since last 2 months she developed a habbit of whining. she wld stop the moment we used to pick her up and cuddle her. the moment we left her she wld again start, first we thought she must be in pain, but on observing alone and in the presence of the vet we found she wantd our atten thats it. so at times just to quiet her we had to hit her not harsh, just a rap with a newspaper or a rap on her rump, but now that she is not around i feel so bad that i had to do this towds the end of our bond. will my baby forgive us. my heart bleeds for her.

I just got my 11 week old min pin on Tuesday and she has a cow when I don't hold her, I put her in her crate, when I go to work or even just leave the room for a minute. She whines the entire time I'm gone, I'm sure of it. She is now so very hoarse that you can barely hear her wimper and it takes forever to get her to go to sleep. I'm so worried about her. I'm never heard of a puppy making herself hoarse. What do I do?
